The passive voice is used when the most important in the sentences is the action and not the subject orperson.

TO BE + PAST PARTICIPLE + BY + SUBJECT

Examples:

Mary writes very interesting books ( Active Voice)

Very interesting books are written by Mary (Passive

Voice)

My parents sell last model cars in the main avenue.

Last model cars are sold by my parents in the mainavenue.
