Recognition for Julie Cool Julie Cool will be stepping down as our Pastoral Associate at the end of this year’s sacramental preparation programs on May 21st. Julie has served our parish for the past 6 years as Pastoral Associate and many years before that as an active parishioner in our sacramental preparation Programs. On Sunday, May 21st we will have an opportunity at the 9AM and 11 AM masses to thank Julie for her service to our community, and to wish her well in her new position with the Archdiocese of Gatineau in the Pastoral Service Department. Please mark May 21st on your calendar, so that together we can thank God for all that has been given to us through Julie and her ministry among us, and to socialize in the parish hall following the 9 AM and 11 AM masses.
Parish General Assembly (AGM) Tuesday May 23, at 7:00 PM Our Parish General Assembly (AGM) is an opportunity for us to come together as a parish community to review and reflect on our life in community. At this assembly we receive reports from the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC), and Fabrique, which outline our pastoral initiatives as well as financial matters. The Assembly is also an opportunity to look to the future, to reflect together on where God is calling us as a community at this time. Your insights, questions, and suggestions are needed and most welcome. Please give priority to this meeting and plan to attend this year’s Parish General Assembly (AGM) on Tuesday, May 23 at 7:00 PM.
Confirmation Saturday, May 20th 5:00 pm – Archbishop Paul André Durocher will celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation at St. Mark’s during our 5 PM mass on Saturday May 20th. A light reception will follow in the parish hall where you will have the opportunity to greet Archbishop Durocher and our confirmation candidates. Please mark your calendar.
St. Mark’s helping Hand! Thank you to the many volunteers that worked tirelessly all week prior to the My Trash your Treasure event, who went above and beyond clearing out cupboards, closets, storage areas and the shed. My Trash your Treasure event was very successful despite the weather! Our joint event where members of multiple committees within the parish joined forces was a huge accomplishment! Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen and to those who attended and supported this parish endeavour. Thanks to all of you we have raised over $1800 for our parish! The remaining items will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul. Next year will be bigger and better and hopefully outside so mark May 5th 2018 on your calendars! Please save the date!! Tuesday, June, 13th @ 11:30 - ELDERS APPRECIATION LUNCH More information to follow in the coming weeks.

Financial update from the Fabrique
We have changed how we provide information on the collection in order to provide parishioners with more useful information on our financial situation at St. Mark’s. From now on, we will provide a comparison of income and expenses every month. We hope that this format will be useful to you, and we thank you for your generosity!
