SummaryThe book The Outsiders is about a rivalry

between the Greasers and the Soc. There is three brothers that are greasers and their parents died so their older brother Darry takes care of the boys. There is a lot of conflict between these two gangs, but when their conflict goes out of control there are lots of consequences. When Johnny and Spodapop get mugged by the Soc in the park Johnny kills a Soc named Bob, they have to run away or they’ll get in big trouble. Johnny died because of the church fire. He and Dally were in the hospital and they died. Dally died because he was so upset that Johnny was gone.

Pony was denying the fact that Johnny died. When Johnny killed the Soc, Bob, and when they ran away to the church, they set it on fire. Then Johnny was in the hospital and when Johnny died, Pony changed. When Johnny killed the Soc, Pony and Johnny were changed forever because they killed Bob. They had to go through acceptance that they killed Bob. Pony also went through acceptance because Johnny was dead.
