Maximising Leadership Effectiveness in Turbulent TimesLeading people in this increasingly complex and interconnected Public Sector is challenging: contexts change, the future is more uncertain and unpredictable than ever, technological devices keep leaders attached 24/7 to unrelenting, anxiety producing information with little or no built-in recovery time. The Gallup research continues to confirm the vast majority of employees worldwide are ‘not engaged’.

To survive and even thrive in the Public Sector, leaders must re-think their approach and draw on new and different models. Leaders must have a deep understanding of their leadership style and consciously manage their mental, physical and emotional strength. Organisations are looking for leaders who are authentic and resilient, who can be trusted to pay attention to the things that matter in a sustainable way.

In this interactive workshop you will explore what it takes to maximise your effectiveness and lead in turbulent times. Therese will be using scientifically proven techniques that can be applied immediately. She will draw on the power of Positive Psychology to engage and build personal and organisational strengths. We will demystify the number one predictor of leadership success, Emotional Intelligence, and break this down into practical realities for the workplace and provide you with strategies to sharpen focus, attention and insight through cultivating mindfulness.

Positive leadership in the Public Sector • Tapping into the neuroscience of leadership • Utilising strengths for high-performance • Maximising efficacy and value

The emotional intelligence advantage • Differentiating smart leaders • Understanding the Emotional Competency Framework • Leading with resonance – The Leadership Challenge

Mindfulness at work • Focusing with awareness and attention • Overcoming the Imposter Syndrome • Harvesting your efforts to reach that next level

Accelerating engagement • Selecting the right people to take positive action • Developing and utilising organisational strengths • Enhancing well-being for yourself and others
