Founded in 1961 by Randy Sparks, The New Christy  Minstrels have recorded over 20 albums, each producing hits like “Green, Green,” “Saturday Night,” “Today,” and “Denver.” They con nued to make hits un l the late ‘70’s, when they transi oned to resort hotel  performances. In 2010, Randy Sparks recreated the  Minstrels and they have been performing na onwide since! With an alumnus of nearly 300 members over 50 years, The New Christy Minstrels have proven that great music can stand the test of  me!

Industrial Revolu on and the necessity for brotherhood and unselfishness, Dickens gave the world one of its most  enduring Christmas stories. The Nebraska Theatre Caravan has been touring Charles Jones’ deligh ul adapta on of A Christmas Carol since 1979. The Caravan’s Carol, which weaves tradi onal Christmas carols throughout the narra ve, is probably the most widely produced produc on of Dickens in the na on, annually performing for more than 100,000 people in more than 60 ci es across the country.

This ensemble of accomplished and versa le musicians celebrates the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli’s pioneering Hot Club de France with style and panache. The HCSF borrows the instrumenta on of violin, bass and guitars from the original Hot Club while breathing new life into the music with innova ve arrangements of classic tunes and original composi ons from the group’s superb lead guitarist Paul Mehling, featuring the amazing violin of two‐ me Grammy Award winner Evan Price and a swinging rhythm sec on. To hear the ensemble live or on any of their 11 albums, is to be carried back to the 1930s the small smoky jazz clubs of Paris and the refined lounges of the famous Hotel Ritz. O en called gypsy jazz, the music of The Hot Club of San Francisco has entranced audiences around the globe for over 20 years.

In a magical Fairy Kingdom, a Princess named Aurora was born to a 

wonderful King and Queen. The Kingdom’s Fairy of Protec on, Lilac 

Fairy and all of her maidens were invited to celebrate Princess Auro‐

ra’s birth. In the midst of the excitement, the royal family forgot to 

invite the wicked fairy, Carabosse. Although Carabosse is distraught 

by their neglect, she and her crew come to the party anyway, but 

with evil inten ons. She disguises herself as a beau ful fairy and 

pretends to enjoy the fes vi es. However, her evil becomes her and 

she casts a spell over Princess Aurora saying that on her 16th birth‐

day she will prick her finger and die. Quick to save the Princess, the 

Lilac Fairy casts another spell saying that she will only fall asleep 

a er pricking her finger. This ballet, in a prologue and three acts, 

tells the enchan ng story of Aurora and her fate.

Recapture the music and relive the magic in this dynamite tribute to The Man Who Invented Soul – Sam Cooke. The Cooke Book: The Music of Sam Cooke is Darrian Ford's  celebra on of Cooke's greatest hits and some lesser known gems.  Considered by many to be the defini ve soul singer, Sam Cooke blended sensuality and spirituality,  sophis ca‐on and soul, and movie idol looks with a Gospel singer’s 

poise. Chicago na ve Darrian Ford began his  professional performing career at age 13. His career has since spanned Concert Dance companies of Alvin Ailey and Donald Byrd/The Group; Broadway credits include State Fair, The Who’s Tommy and the first na onal tours of The Color Purple and Smokey Joe’s Cafe. With nearly a dozen musical guest ap‐pearances on both day and night  me TV talk shows, he can also be heard on Broadway colleagues’ albums,  musical concept albums, and his own CD "Everything".   

Chicago City Limits is New York City’s legendary Improv  comedy show. Founded in Chicago in 1977 by actors  par cipa ng in the Second City workshops, the group relocat‐ed to New York in 1980 and began an Off‐Broadway run of over 8,500 performances. Through the years, the company has go en rave reviews from cri cs and audiences alike, most recently receiving the 2008 Award for Best Comedy Group by the Manha an Associa on of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC). The Chicago City Limits show combines sketch comedy, musical theater and audience‐inspired improvisa ons. The majority of the show is created on the spot from sugges ons called out by audience members. Each performance is a unique collabo‐ra on between actors and audience—no two shows are alike. Sketches are as fresh as today’s headlines, taking aim at the faces,  places, and events of the day.

“Let the Sun Shine” and celebrate by le ng your “Hair” 

down! Hair tells the story of the "tribe," a group of poli cal‐ly ac ve, long‐haired hippies of the "Age of Aquarius" living a bohemian life in New York City and figh ng against conscrip on into the Vietnam War. Claude, his good friend Berger, their roommate Sheila, and their friends struggle to balance their young lives, loves, the sexual  revolu on with their rebellion against the war, and their conserva ve parents and society. Ul mately, Claude must decide whether to resist the dra  as his friends have done, or succumb to the pressures of his parents (and  conserva ve America) to serve in Vietnam, compromising his pacifist principles and risking his life.
