2013 NDSU Extension Fall Conference
Thank you to Dr. Donald Warne. Dr. Warne provided a presentation at the 2013 NDSU Extension Service’s Fall conference here in Fargo, ND. He shared information about Native American health disparities with Extension Service staff and administra-tors. Every fall NDSU Extension Service has a conference where information is shared with Extension Service about issues affecting the people of North Dakota.
Fund raiser ideas for the year — Yard sales (May 2014); Craft sale at Red Raven (No date specified); Hot cider and hot chocolate sale (Nov. 9 or 30th) – out doors!
Wild Mushroom Picking — I have a contact in MN who can help us in 2014 to get this activity done.
High School Plays— At the Sept. meeting they asked for infor-mation on high school plays that are going on in the area. From the list we compiled, they decided to attend “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the WF High School theater.
Mystery Holiday Workshop – Nov 23 at WF Fairgrounds 11:00 AM to 3 PM. They decided to create rock figurines. We will need some help on that day – parents!
2nd Horse Stable visit — I am checking to see if this can be done over the Thanksgiving Break.
Moorhead students — There are a number of Moorhead students who want to join but need a ride to the meetings. We are trying to figure out how to do this.
Fair Projects— The members are already discussing their projects for the 2014 Red River Valley and ND State Fairs.
