The Call to Prayer
Take this moment to prepare to speak to the One who is more
focused upon our hearts than upon our words. One who is more
committed to us and our soul’s well being than we are to our body’s
comforts and pleasures. One who has shown us by the passion of our
Lord Jesus Christ the seriousness with which He makes our
appointment. The only One who loves us just because His love is
greater than our sin. Free yourself in these moments from your
fear-filled secrets by prayerfully confessing them in the presence
of our Heavenly Father.

Our Sunday School Boys and Girls are participating in an Advent
Mission Project to benefit the orphaned children in Ukraine. Each
week our boys and girls compete against each other to see who can
bring in the most “spare change” to their Sunday School class, as
this money will allow us to buy desperately needed items such as
warm socks, shoes, gloves, underwear, and other items that we all
take for granted. Remember -- you don't have to have a child in
Sunday School to help! Just put your spare change in an envelope
marked boys or girls and give it to Grace Bailey, Cindy Shavers, or
Tammy Reynolds -- we will make sure that your "team" gets credit
for your gift!
***Fundraising Update*** Our boys and girls continue to out do
themselves with this fund raising competition. This week the boys'
total is $355.79 and the girls' total is 335.58. Way to go boys!
The girls are only a little more that $20 away - wow what a close
race. Don't forget, the winners will be served Pizza by the losers,
(who of course will be wearing those pesky aprons) and the winners
will get to make their own Cotton Candy. So kids, keep up the good
work!
