A. There are muscles in the root of your hair that give you goose bumps.

B. It takes 17 muscles to smile and 42 muscles to frown.

C. The hardest working muscle is in the eye.

D. The largest muscle in your body is the Gluteus Maximus.

3 TYPES OF MUSCLES

FUNCTIONS 1. Skeleton muscles

--create movement of bones or facial skin via contractions

2. Smooth muscles

--create movement of substances through a tract or pathway

3. Cardiac muscles

--force movement of blood through heart chambers to arteries

EFFECTS OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY ON MUSCULAR SYSTEM

Muscle fibers shorten in length and increase in thickness. Because of this, the body appears muscular.

Muscles become more elastic and can perform work with greater speed.

As a result of gain in strength, the muscles can give better protection to some organs of our body.

Muscles develop muscle tone or a state of readiness for doing work.

 Muscles develop endurance.Deposition of fat in between the muscles fibers decreases, reducing changes of obesity.
