•This presentation is based upon the art work of a man who has and is experiencing torture. Never formally accused of a crime, charged, or given due process; his civil rights to privacy have been removed. Unable to receive medical attention to recover from both physical and psychological abuse by his captors, he ventured to heal himself through his art.

•The Mugs of Reflection are a collection of glass coffee mugs, covered with images and colors representing his healing process. Although still a captive, his work demonstrates his resiliency in the face of this unrelenting crime against humanity: theft of personal privacy, and the misuse of cyber devices to create virtual prisons for people without need for criminal proceedings.

•Relational Dynamics is a non-linear theory exploring the interplay between cooperative and non-cooperative relationships. It provides strategies to assist in creating cooperation where non-exists and in this case an analysis of the artist work and possibility for survival.

AMERICAN SURVEILLANCE•The average American is under video surveillance 200 times per day.

•In her book entitled, “Spying on Democracy”, Heidi Boghosan states, • “As government agencies shift from investigating criminal activity to pre-empting it, they

have forged close relationships with corporations honing surveillance and intelligence- gathering techniques for use against Americans. By claiming that anyone who questions authority or engages in undesired political speech is a potential terrorist threat, thru government- corporate partnership makes a mockery of civil liberties,” (Boghosan, 2013) p. 22-33

•American citizens have been subjected to surveillance including by video, phone calls, email, tracking through garbage, an RFID chips that are implanted under the skin and via satellites can give constant positioning. These cyber devices have been shown to cause cancer in animals and may be capable of transmitting more than location via auditory and optic nerves. MONOPOLY

There is a board game called Monopoly where properties are bought and sold; rent is paid for landing on a space; more money is paid if you land on a space with a house or hotel. Property or owing you own home is part of the American dream but losing one’s home is more of the American reality. Advertising is an American art and most people dream of winning the lottery, or hitting the “jackpot” where all their monetary limits will end. My dream was also one of my grandmothers- who came to America at sixteen and always wanted an Orange tree. She only ever owned a plastic Orange tree that she bought on her only vacation (to Florida). I bought a home with a large Orange tree in the backyard-only to lose it when tortured and driven out of my home by lies.

New York the big city, is filled with dreams and pain. People believe if you “make it [t]here, [you] can make it anywhere.” So many people come to New York still seeking the paved streets of gold they were promised in the 1890’s to 1920’. I once ran away to New York City as a twelve year old boy with the hope that I could find a better life. Instead, I found pain and suffering. I was beaten and abused until I became so defiant that I no longer cared if I died; just as I had seen so many others killed at the hand of the man who abused me. He showed me things I had never seen before; power, wealth, the theatre, musical performances; dinners in penthouses and a side of hell few people survive.

THE DOCTOR’S AUTOPSY

What is inside the doctor that makes them more than a robot or technician? Is it there ability to bill an insurance company for extra funds? Is it their heart and brain?, Is it their ability to comfort a patient? Is it their gift from God to heal? Some doctors are God’s hands and eyes on earth when they perform miracles. I have been “treated” by robots, monsters, and Gods: Robots who “followed directions” even when they knew they were violating all medical and moral ethics; Monsters who ripped apart my scrotum; and Gods who a year and a half later saved my life repairing the damage.

MEDICAL EVOLUTION

Evolution involves changes, it involves being able to do things in ways no one else has ever done before and survive. No medicine, no surgeon’s knife can ultimately cure you or me. To survive trauma one must learn to heal themselves. I worked for a large corporation that looked for cookie cutter solutions to solve major problems in people’s lives. They refused to change or evolve in a time when their business demanded change. Their classic line when asked to do something new was that it wasn’t possible and it wasn’t their model. For me it has always been, “well let’s make a new model if the old one isn’t working. “ They chose to destroy me, defame my character and ruining my personal and professional life. I chose to create.

Genitals, what are they to most men? Our peni are called our manhood. Our scrotums are called the family jewels. When yours becomes so damaged by abuse do you lose your worth as a man? I was harmed at twelve, when I was sexually molested only to have far worse done to me again as an adult. Recovering from reconstructive surgery, my scrotum was torn in two by a doctor. The second stage of being repaired is a process of reviewing and reweighing all expectations. How much can be repaired? How much will it cost? What am I willing to sacrifice in order to regain what I have as a man? Who can I trust to do this? The thing I know for sure is that a man is not a penis or scrotum. I have had to exist as a man with these parts dysfunctional and if they defined who I was I would not exist. I am a man not because of my genitals or XY genes. I am a man because I endure pain. I protect those I love. I can hold my child who cries in pain and somehow bring them comfort. I can work like a beast of burden, if needed, to provide. I can cry at the beauty of a sunrise, when I am still alive and people have been trying to murder me. I am a man because of who I am inside. How I act. How I breathe.

NATIONAL IDENTITY

What is a national identity? What is a nation? An invisible border crossing that changes with the wind of time and separates the world. If I can born in one country and it no longer exists who am I? If I move to another country when am I seen as a national? When we are divided by invisible borders, boundaries, ideologies, languages and customs, we all lose our identities as humans. We live in an age where the internet has stopped the boundary of time. I can email or call a friend half a world away within seconds. I can access information in a library in another language and country and study (if I am granted access). Who am I? within a nation? within a group of survivors of torture? I am humanity. The world suffers as I suffer and I suffer with the world.. I am a citizen of the world.

AMERICAN LIBERTY

Is America Crazy? The chance to learn? Peace, Respect, Dignity, Health, Free Admission, Fair, Use your talents. Or are these all illusions, simply written on a piece of parchment called the Constitution? Why in the land of the free and home of the brave am I denied due process? Because I am not rich enough? Because I am damaged and now considered useless? Because you were wrong? I will not hide in your closet, or extort you for money. I will not commit a crime to get back what is mine and was taken. I am liberty, but I may not be in America.

UNDERCOVER GAMES

Games and puzzles are to be played for entertainment, not to manipulate and rule the world. John Nash proved that it is best to cooperate with his proof of non-cooperative 2 person games. He won a Noble Prize in Economics but first he was put through the political-psychiatric horror system. To prove cooperation if better than competition is not subversive it is logic. I have been a political prisoner; poisoned, beaten, interrogated without due process, detained and drugged, sodomized and tortured. I am not a criminal. I am not a threat to my country or the world. I am a prisoner in my own homeland due to slander and liable and have no hope of being released.

THE SUCCESS OF GAMES

Big business, big success. Why are all the answers already provided? Ask yourself? Because you are not supposed to question; you are not supposed to think. You are to do as you are told and only when summoned to do so. I began my career cleaning a men’s shower room and toilets because no one else would do it. I did so, because I wanted to eat and graduate from High School. I worked my way through school and up the corporate ladder only to be destroyed by slander, pursued years later by people so incompetent to do their jobs that it was easier to blame me than to learn to do their jobs. I am an entrepreneur. I will succeed despite your world of corporate competition, corruption and lunacy.

THIRD WORLD FAIR TRADE

The third world countries of the earth scream to end oppression-yet their leaders often become their greatest oppressors just like in first and second world countries. When the World believes there is never enough it buys the belief that we must kill each other to have more than the person beside us. When the World believes in Fair Trade-just and equal compensation, sharing of knowledge and wealth, wisdom emerges from the heavens and earth. I started my entrepreneurship at the age of three; selling my drawings door to door for a penny each. By noon, I had a pocket full of change and no more art work. I offered my new found wealth to my grandmother who had told me that morning that we didn’t have enough money to eat.

IT’S TIME FOR FISH

Ideologies fail because of individuals’ greed and lust for domination. Rome fell, Spain lost its’ golden age. Britain lost its’ colonies. France lost its’ heads. Russia lost its’ Tsars. When will leaders learn that being entrusted with the faith of the people means they must share. If I can feed people fish for a day they will starve tomorrow, but if I teach them to fish they will live forever. I lost God when I was twelve and returned as a soulless zombie. He found me on a dark lonely street in the middle of the night. He sent a companion from heaven to walk by my side to lead me to a church, a dog’s paw prints to follow to stand beneath a bell tower and rang the bell. There was no wind to ring the bell. There were no people present. I resisted and he sent the mornings light to ignite the cross atop the church roof. I resisted. When I finally entered and reached the centre of the building it shook and a light covered me from above. Everyone around me stepped back in disbelief. There was no window for the light to come through. There was no electric light above me.

Prisons are made of many substances, all designed to be impenetrable. But what of the prisons of the future that are here and now? No walls, no bars, or windows- just cyberspace. Implanted surveillance devices that can create instant pain via nerve endings, create submission, create torture, and create virtual hell. I am a prisoner in a virtual hell; unable to find freedom and privacy; unable to find silence from my assailants who attempt to drive me insane by sleep deprivation, stimulating my nerve endings to cause pain and sexually molesting me at their perverted whims. With no oversight, with no governance, my “guards” do as their perverted minds please. Yet, I unblock their perversion and pain with repeated possibilities.

THERE CAN BE

Promises of liberty, justice and freedom. There can be hope. There can be leadership and responsibility, or there can be blame and injustice. There was a man with a dream and he was assassinated. There was a “prince” of Camelot and he was assassinated. There was a declaration of treason that formed a democracy and a constitution written on parchment that once granted unalienable rights that is now forsaken to paranoia. I can still believe in God and Santa Claus and for a better world. I can believe in angels and still recognize devils. I can be one man and the world at the same moment. I exist. I create rather than chose to destroy.

TRANSITION FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE

•If our artist matches his assailants with force, he will most likely be killed•Therefore his best strategy is to take an altruistic approach and try to flip the equation from non-cooperative to cooperative•If his assailants can recognize that his interests are for a better world an not aimed at harming anyone, the relationship can move toward cooperation. In a non-linear relationship 4 and -4 are closer than between 3 & 4•Until then, they are at a stalemate.
