MUSCLE MEMORY Learn how to properly mount a motorcycle.
Learn Where the controls are located and … how they work.
On a static motorcycle, practice finding the primary controls with HEAD & EYES UP!
Don’t know of anyone who owns a motorcycle that will fit you? Cultivate
a relationship with a good local dealer.
Ask your dealer for help with mounting & controls ONLY when the shop is NOT busy.

MORE Pre-Course WorkOn a friend’s or dealership’s static motorcycle,
and with a spotter, find your primary controls:
> Handle Bars:
> Clutch:
> Gear Shift:
> Throttle:
> Front Brake:
> Rear Brake:
Stand the motorcycle up. Turn your head, Eyes & handle-bars full right , then full left.
Lever on LEFT handlebar.
In front of the LEFT foot peg.
Right Hand Grip: ROLLS ON/OFF.
Lever on RIGHT Hand Grip.
In front of the RIGHT foot peg.
After you know where the controls are located, FIND THEM & WORK THEM WITHOUT LOOKING!

Hydrate: Start hydrating a week before your class. When your body is under physical stress it is easy to get dehydrated.
REST: Get plenty of rest before your class and stay away from alcohol starting a few days prior to class.
SUN BLOCK: Make sure you haveprotection from the sun!`
