Payment: The balance of your booth payment is now due. Cheques are payable to: The Jenkins Agency Inc., 1076 Skyvalley Cres., Oakville, Ontario L6M 3L2. (Please do not make cheques payable to Jenkins Show Productions). Companies will not be allowed to move into the show unless full payment is received. Check-In Procedure: Please come to the check-in booth first, located at the Community Arena entrance on the left side of the building. We will direct you to your booth and the closest move-in doors. Please unload your truck and move it away from the doors A.S.A.P. to allow fellow exhibitors access to the move-in doors. Booth Configuration: A standard size booth is 10x10' or 10x20'. Each booth is supplied with a black curtained backdrop - 8' across the back. The back wall height restriction is 8' unless prior approval is obtained. The side walls are 8' high for 4' from the back of the booth and 30" high for the remaining 6' to the front of the booth. If the side wall of your display is over 4' high then it must not come out farther than 6' from the back of your booth unless prior approval has been arranged. Note: All booths must be carpeted or have a finished flooring in them. Official Show Suppliers: 1)Tables, Carpet, Chairs: Enclosed in the kit is an order form from the official show supplier - Complete Rent-Alls. Booths are not supplied with tables or chairs. The aisle ways are covered with red carpet. To order tables, chairs, carpeting and other supplies for your booth, please refer to their web site: www.completerentalls.net or contact Complete Rent-Alls at (905)389-2209. You may fax your form to 905-389-9030. 2)Electricity: Exhibit temporary electrical power and display lighting are provided by Freeman. Please use the order form included in this kit to order your booth's electrical and/or display lighting services. Questions regarding these services should be directed to Exhibitor Services of Freeman at: 416-252-3361. You may send in the completed form via fax: 416-252-2365 or email: [email protected]. Both table/carpet and electrical suppliers offer pre-show pricing - check the forms. Name Badges & Free Passes: You will receive an envelope in the mail as part of your exhibitor kit, it will contain 100 VIP free passes for you to distribute as you see fit before the start of the show and 5 name badges for your staff. Plastic name badge holders will be given out at the check in desk at the show. Additional name badges are available upon request. PASSES ARE NOT TO BE DISTRIBUTED AT THE SHOW! Show Admission: General admission is $5. On Friday, seniors will be admitted free to the show as part of the "Salute To Seniors Day." Children are admitted free (12 years of age and under) when accompanied by an adult.
Fire Department Inspection: In the City of Mississauga, the local fire department prevention officer may inspect each display for fire safety. The fire department may be inspecting the displays on Thursday, April 26th. Balloons: If you are giving away balloons at the show, please ensure that you use balloons that are attached to sticks. Helium filled balloons are NOT allowed because they often get stuck in the rafters or ceiling fans and may fall during the show. This is a safety precaution. Advertising: A cooperative ad will be featured in the Mississauga News Newspaper on Thursday April 26th. Please contact Brian Downey at Metroland to participate (905-273-8178). All exhibitors are encouraged to participate in the advertisement. It is a fact that by advertising your participation in the home show in advance of the show dates, it will increase traffic to your specific exhibit by 33%!!! Market surveys show that 76% of show visitors leave home already knowing which exhibits they'll visit! Even though the show is promoted by a major media advertising campaign, it is up to the individual exhibitor to notify the public that your company will be represented at the show. Tag your advertising with "Be sure to see our display at the Mississauga Lifestyle Home Show, April 27-29, at the Hershey Centre." Door Prize Contest: A "Door Prize Contest" will be promoted as part of the show advertising campaign. We are requesting donations of "stand-alone" prizes (minimum value $60) from exhibitors. In return for donating a prize to the contest, your company name will be promoted at the entrance to the show. This will assure your company of a much higher profile at the show. To submit your prize, please contact Dave Jenkins at: 905-827-4632 or 1-800-465-1073. Exhibitor Suggestions: FREE draws, giveaways and demonstrations are always a successful method to attract potential customers into your booth. Qualify your leads and ensure you follow-up as soon as possible. Promoting these incentives in your pre-show advertising will increase your sales profitability. A free draw for a great prize (related to your business) makes for a terrific post-show mailing or tele-marketing campaign. Best Booth Award: There is a "Pride of the Show" award for best booth at the Home Show. Your display will be judged on use of space, approachability of staff, staffing the booth for all hours of the show and staffing professionalism. The winning company will be awarded a "Pride of the Show" plaque! Garbage Disposal: The City of Mississauga has requested that all exhibitors remove their own garbage. Please don't leave any outside the move-in doors as the City has the option to charge exhibitors for clean-up! Thank you for your cooperation and your support. MULTIPLE OUTLET LOCATIONS / ISLAND BOOTHSA scaled floor plan is required for orders with multiple outlet locations and/or island booths. Detailed examples are provided on the following page. If a power location or main drop in an island booth is not provided prior to show move-in, a location will be determined by Freeman in order to maintain delivery schedules. Relocation of the service will be charged on a time and material basis.
ISLAND BOOTHSFor island booths with no labour ordered, there is a 1/2 hour minimum installation charge and a 1/2 hour minimum dismantle charge.
INLINE AND PENINSULA BOOTHSPower will be placed in the back of the booth unless otherwise specified.
24 HOUR SERVICESIf an uninterrupted power supply is required for the full du-ration of the show, please order 24 hour power. Electricity is turned on 30 minutes prior to show opening and turned off 30 minutes after show closes on show days. Power will be turned off immediately after final show closing. If you require power outside actual show hours, special arrangements should be made in advance. Additional charges may apply.
SEPARATE OUTLETSSeparate outlets should be ordered for each piece of equipment and/or each power location.
CANCELLATIONA 50% refund will be applied to electrical services can-celled after installation. Refunds will not be issued for ma-terials and/or labour charges related to the installation.
