Tuesday - December 3rd, 2013

We had a documentation day in Cologne. At 09.00 we met at the Opladen train station and we cought a first glimpse of Cologne, from the Triangle Tower. The view was amazing. Next we walked on the Rhine Bridge towards Cologne and after that we visited the Christmas markets .

At around 13.00 we were ready to get headphones for the documentation visit at the Cathedral of Cologne. We visited it, with a guide, listening through headphones the information in English. It is by far the symbol of the city: the medieval city developed around it. The twin towers are visible from almost the entire city. If the exterior is impressive, the interior is stunning, with scenes from the Old and New Testament. Afterwards we went on a short tour through the old town of Cologne.
