MB RANGEThe MB hydraulic breakers give a real appetite for destruction | Taste the real power

  • Don’t judge a hydraulic

    breaker by its weight!

Other breakers also seem to do the job in an acceptable manner - no big difference with the MB breakers. Breakers are often simply compared by weight (price per kg) or by chisel diameter, which gives a misleading picture, that does not take performance/effi ciency into account.

Low cost, high performance; that’s to our taste!

Atlas Copco ś MB breakers keep lifecycle costs down. Often, these costs are not seen as an important element, but they are: 2/3 of the lifecycle cost of a breaker being made up of factors such as energy & fuel consumption, operator cost and service & maintenance cost.MB breakers can help you in achieving lower lifecycle costs, and a positive effect on your bottom line. And that ś got to be to everyone ś taste!

Less weight, more power,to satisfy your hunger.

The percussive performance to weight ratio of Atlas Copco MB breakers is signifi cantly better than their predecessors.Due to the MB breakers ś high percussive performance to weight ratio, smaller carriers can be used, which can result in fewer investments and a lower cost of ownership. The carrier generates the hydraulic input power which is refl ected in fuel consumption. The greater the operational effi ciency of the breaker, the lower your energy and fuel costs.

  • Double tool retainer barsThe design features a maximum contact surface between tool and retainers in order to achieve the lowest possible forces by area, minimising risk of tool breakage in the retainer area. The retainer can be used from both sides in order to reduce wear and receive maximum service life. The new design of the lower hammer part improves its durability. Locking pins simplify the process of changing the working tool.

No fl y in the ointment!DustProtector II, the option to ensure your productivityThis protective feature, unique with its two stages and only available with Atlas Copco hydraulic breakers, can also be ordered for the MB breakers. This means that operations can be more sustainable, long-term and trouble-free under dusty working conditions. A combination of multible wipers signifi cantly reduce penetration of abrasive stone dust and other foreign objects from the lower section of the breaker. The fi ne wiper also keepsthe chisel paste in the wear bush area much longer. Thus reduces the consumption. This helps in protecting both the hammer unit and the bushings against damage as well as premature wear.

VibroSilencedEffective noise and vibration dampingThe VibroSilenced system is a highly effective arrangement of elastic damping elements which isolate the percussion mechanism acoustically from the external guide system. It is no coincidence that Atlas Copco breakers are among the quietest on the market. This has been proven by measurements based on Directive 2000/14/EC, which give a guaranteed sound power level of 117 dB(A)*. All Atlas Copco medium Breaker models are fi tted with the VibroSilenced system as standard.

    whateverthe oil fl ow rate

Atlas Copco medium breakers are powered by a combination of oil and gas (nitrogen). 70% of the impact energy is generated by gas power, which means that the breakers are virtually independent of the hydraulic supply from the carrier.

    Dependable andlow on service

thanks to simple design. There are only three moving parts: the percussion piston, the control valve and the pilot valve. Routine maintenance is just a matter of minutes.

AutoStart: a safe biteThe AutoStart mode offers maximum productivity. No more wasted time for repositioning the breaker in unstable ground. The AutoStart-mode is ideal for jobs in unstable ground, such as: secondary reduction of mined rock, working horizontally or overhead and breaking light concrete structures.

ContiLube® II: Good gravy makes every job tasty.ContiLube® II is an automated lubrication system which offers the optimal and cost-effective lubrication of the breaker. It is a fi xed component that is directly attached to the hydraulic breaker, and this makes it simple to operate, set and monitor. ContiLube® II cartridges are fi lled with 500 g of highly viscous Atlas Copco chisel paste. The case of the ContiLube® II lubrication system features a compact and self-bleeding pump which dispenses chisel grease only when required, thereby ensuring optimised consumption. All ContiLube® II connections are well protected thanks to their installation inside the hammer box.

  • MBWhat kind of job do you geton your plate?

Find the MB breaker to your taste

Atlas Copco medium breakers are ideal for roadwork, trenching, general demolition, and secondary rock breaking. They are also at home reducing demolition rubble for feeding to recycling plants, and in all other jobs which call for a robust design, reliability and long life. Both their general versatility and their compatibilitywith a broad spectrum of carriers make these breakers genuine all-rounders.

    Trenching and road construction

With a slim box design, MB breakers offer great accessibility in confi ned spaces and an excellent view on the working tool. Using for instance the MB 750 for road construction work, you can choose the asphalt cutter or the wide chisel working tool for cutting the road surface.

    Secondary breakingin quarries

Atlas Copco MB breakers can be used to reduce boulder sizes in a rock pile. Mounting an MB breaker as a secondary reduction breaker on a mobile carrier provides a fl exible unit which can be used at multiple stations in the quarry.

    technology

Atlas Copco’s range of medium-duty hydraulic breakers was developed for a wide variety of applications. The combined gas/oil power principle means they are both powerful and highly fl exible with regard to oil fl ow rate and pressure. Their technically advanced percussion mechanisms, e.g. with long piston stroke, reduce unavoidable vibrations far more effi ciently than many other makes.

    and recycling

MB breakers are internationally recognised for their toughness and reliability. They give you superiour hitting power per kilo. The MB breakers are ideally suited to

demolition tasks in this weight class. They are commonly used to break

down concrete structures - both non-reinforced and reinforced.

  • An Atlas Copco hydraulic breaker is more than justa breaker - it’s an overall concept which includesa full line of aftermarket products and services. Each product fi ts to the breaker perfectly and keeps it chewing and chewing.
