The Maroon Award On January 26, six students received the Maroon Award at a breakfast ceremony. The Maroon Award was created to recognize students who do the lile things right when no one is looking and help make Ridgewood High School a beer place. The six award recipients for 2016 are Jack Simpson, Maggie Rapaport, Kathryn Kearney, Olivia Sullivan, Thomas Carmona, and Aiden Gibney. Students are nominated for this award by teachers who know them best and observe the lile things that they do everyday to help out the school community or their fellow students. FAST FACTS... In 5 years, there will be 220 more students aend- ing Ridgewood High School compared to the num- ber aending in 2012. Please dropping off any of the above needed items at: Orchard, GWMS, BFMS or RHS before February 8. RIDGEWOOD A CAPELLA The Maroon Men and the AcaBellas recently compet- ed in the Internaonal Compeon of High School A Cappella. In the Mid-Atlanc Quar- terfinals, the groups won the following tles: 1st Place- The RHS Maroon Men 3rd Place - The RHS AcaBellas Outstanding Percussion - Aaqib Hassan Maroon Men Congratulaons to Mr. Bourque and all his talent- ed students. This past week students showed off their skills in the AHLISA Talent Show, including singing and playing instruments.

COURSES AT RIDGEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
Music Rewind: SEMESTER 9-12; This class is a retrospective course
covering a broad range of musical history and musical terminology.
Students will work backwards through time searching for connec-
tions and themes within music and understanding how these
artists were influenced by each other.
3D Design: SEMESTER 9-12; A semester course where a variety of
materials are manipulated and explored for their expressive quali-
ties. Both independent and collaborative projects are developed
and include relief, in-the-round, and installation sculptures.
Dance I: SEMESTER 9-12; This is a
performance based class for stu-
dents with a variety of skill levels.
Students are expected to partici-
pate in daily warm-up exercises,
show attitude and energy appro-
priate for artful dance.
