The French enlightenment writer and philosopher, François-Marie Arouet, knew in the 1700s that Nature

provides the cure and the art of medicine is to help facilitate the healing process. An example of how thehealing process works in harmony is when a person breaks an arm or leg. A doctor provides the “cast” toset the arm or leg in place and then allows Nature or the body to do its miraculous work of knittingtogether bone and repairing and restoring optimal health.

This month we explore the topic of Alternative Healing and offer some extraordinary people who areusing some exciting modalities with amazing success to heal a variety of illnesses and diseases. LaurieMartin takes us on an adventure to explore the healing techniques of one my favorite people StephenLewis, author of The Sanctuary and founder of the AIM Program of Energetic Balancing, a powerfulspiritual technology that allows you to self-heal. You might have recognized Stephen’s photo on our

cover of this month’s issue. In this article, Stephen shares with you powerful information to help you balance yourself energetically and accomplish quantum health. Eric Pearl, author of The Reconnection and featured in the movie The Living Matrix provides compelling information on how you can use “newfrequencies” to heal yourself and others. Caroline Cory lends her expertise to the subject of healing bydiscussing the Omnium Method, which “taps” into the human energy field which I call The InfiniteField.

As you explore these modalities, it is imperative that you keep an open mind. If you are seeking healingfor any issue, know that Source is your ultimate supply and desires for you to live at a Zero Point healthwhich is your optimal health. Before trying any new technique, invite your traditional physician to be a

part of your health decisions.

Blessings to each of you as you honor the gift that is your body, mind, and spirit.

It has been well stated that the individual who successfully counters infections without antibiotics probably utilizes his/her immune system more appropriately than he/she would otherwise.

I'm not suggesting that antibiotics don't have their place… only that they are over-used. In the presence of an acute infection such as the case above, or as a prophylactic measure to prevent

bacterial endocarditis for those who are susceptible, it is of the utmost importance. Naturalemedies, such as drinking Chamomile tea, can help to draw out the infection more readily, but at the more

advanced stages of an infection it should not be thought of as a replacement therapy, but rather as an adjunctiveherapy.

Is it so inconceivable that Nature could have created substances that are capable of achieving the sameesults that have been developed by modern science?

Some of what is alternative today may become conventional tomorrow. After all,

here are a number of western medicines that have been derived from naturalubstances. In 2735 BC, a Chinese emperor recommended an extract from the Ma

Huang plant (known as ephedra in the western world) as treatment for respiratoryllness. Today the chemical ephedrine is extracted from the plant and used as

decongestants (pseudoephedrine). Codeine, derived from opium, has long beenused as an analgesic and cough suppressant. Other plant derived drugs includedigitalis (a heart strengthener) and Vincristine (an anti-tumor drug).

When taken appropriately, herbal and homeopathic remedies can have a wonderful

healing effect on the body. Like many western drugs, herbal remedies haveotential risks, side effects, and drug interactions that can interfere with traditional

western medicines and affect the safe practice of dentistry. The Food and DrugAdministration (FDA) currently regulates prescription and over-the-counter drugs but not herbal preparations. Asa result, it is critical that the dental profession continue to increase its level of understanding and education abouthese alternative medications and treatments so that these new generations of dental patients are treated in a safe

and effective manner.

Consciousness:The Ultimate Digestive Aid

D eepak Chopra said it best when he stated

that the body is constantly eavesdropping inon what we think about it, and what we aregiving our attention to. This only makessense, since our awareness existed long

before we inherited this physical packagingfrom our parents, and it will exist long after

we have outgrown a need for it. Our bodiesare inherently neutral. The charge that our consciousness holds, that direction of intention and perspective, will ultimatelydetermine how our bodies respond to everystimulus we encounter, both internally andexternally.

All of the internal organs of the body are designed to digest the emotional food of our lives, in the same

way that they digest the physical food of our lives. The liver is neutral to traffic, taxes, in-laws andcellulite; but our mind and our thought process, however, are not. Once we focus our awareness on thecaustic and abrasive nature of what we label mildly irritating to downright uncontrollably offensive, theemotions of anger, frustration, and rage will move through the nervous system and through the digestivetract. Once this particular emotional food reaches the liver, the liver’s job is to break it down, pull from itwhat we need, and move the rest out for the identifiable waste that it is. This is accomplished much inthe same way that the liver produces bile, stored in the gall bladder, for release in breaking down anddigesting lipids and fats. How does the liver know we have swallowed a mouthful of anger? It knows,

because like the rest of our body, it is listening to our consciousness. It is following the charge created in

the mind.12 The Infinite Field Magazine October 2010
