INCONET-GCC2 is an International Cooperation Network between EU and the
Arab Gulf Countries
The main goals:
Support and strengthen institutional bi-regional policy dialogue in Science,
Technology and Innovation (STI)
Strengthen bi-regional cooperation between research and innovation actors in
EU and GCC
Focus on Energy/Smart Cities and Health/Diabetes
Continuation of the previous IncoNet GCC project (2011-2013)
Duration of the project is 3 years (02/2014 – 01/2017) funded through the EU

Elaboration of a roadmap and white paper for future research activities with
recommendations to the EC, GCC and the national regulatory and funding
authorities in order to enhance bi-regional cooperation
Organisation of 2nd Summer School Qatar with the participation of
international researchers as well as more experienced academics from the
target regions: “Development of Personalized Healthcare to Address Chronic
Non-communicable Diseases” April 17-19, 2016.
