Danny M. Goldberg is the Founder of GOLDSRD (www.GOLDSRD.com) , a leading provider of Staff

Augmentation, Executive Recruiting and Professional Development services. Previously, Danny led

the Professional Development and Executive Recruiting Practices at Sunera. Mr. Goldberg re-

purchased his practice that he sold to Sunera in 2011. Prior to joining Sunera in January 2011, Danny

founded SOFT GRC, an advisory services and professional development firm. Danny has over 16

years of audit experience, including five as a CAE/Audit Director at two diverse companies. The

Professional Development Practice at GOLDSRD has over 100 full-day courses available for clients

that can be customized. These courses include topical matters on Internal Audit, Audit, Finance and

People-Centric© (Soft Skills).

Prior to founding SOFT GRC, Danny was the Director of SOX Compliance and Corporate Audit at Dr

Pepper Snapple Group, where he led the Year One SOX Compliance efforts and assisted in building

both departments. Prior to his tenure at Dr Pepper, Danny was the Chief Audit Executive at Tyler

Technologies, a publicly traded technology company (Danny was hired to build the department from

the ground up).

Danny has served on the audit committee of the Dallas Independent School District and was the

Chairman of the North Texas Leadership Council of the American Lung Association in 2012. Danny is

also the IIA Dallas and Fort Worth Chapter Programs Committee Co-Chairman for the 2012-2013

year.

Danny is accredited as the professional commentator on the publication BNA Tax and Accounting

Portfolio, Internal Auditing: Fundamental Principles (Accounting Policy and Practice Series), which is

authored by renowned audit scholars Curtis C. Verschoor and Mort A. Dittenhofer – co-author of

Sawyer’s Internal Auditing. He is currently writing a publication on Communication: People-

Centric© Skills that will be published by Wiley in 2014.

The reading materials follow the CIA exam syllabus whenever possible. The sections are weighted the same way the exam is weighted and the topics are taught to the same “Proficiency and Awareness” levels on which they are tested (as depicted by “Level A and Level P” in the sample table of contents, below).

Online Menu The online study tools help learners to apply the concepts learned in the printed materials and test their

understanding and retention of the topics.

Quizzes and tests prepare the user for the CIA exam, providing immediate feedback and additional guidance.

Pre-test Pre-tests are made up of 50 questions covering all CIA topics as weighted by the CIA exam.

Answers are identified as correct or incorrect and rationale is provided for the correct answer as well as reference to the corresponding section in the training materials for follow-up.

The pre-test results will identify the user’s strengths and weaknesses, allowing the individual to focus their attention where it’s most needed.

After completing the course, pre-test scores will be compared to post-test scores in the Reports section to show knowledge and skills have improved.

Quizzes After reviewing each chapter in the reading materials, users are encouraged to test their understanding and

retention of the topics by completing a practice quiz that contains questions pertaining to that chapter. Quizzes provide immediate feedback with correct answer identification, rationale, and reference to the

appropriate section in the printed materials.

Post-test Post-tests include 100 questions taken from topics throughout the course part, as weighted by the CIA exam.

The post-test is timed, provides immediate feedback, rationale, and reference to the appropriate section in the printed materials for additional review.

After completing the post-test, users can visit the Reports to see a comparison of their pre-test and post-test scores to evaluate their progress throughout the course.

CIA Practice Exam The CIA Practice Exam was designed to help CIA candidates gain comfort and experience with the format

and functionality of the computer-based CIA exam. Users can flag questions for review and skip and return to questions later in the exam. Question by question instructional feedback (like found in Pre, Post and Chapter Quizzes) is not provided as this is considered an exam simulation. This exam emulates the real CIA exam both in duration (time) and number of questions per part.

Resource Center Program updates, test-taking tips, printable flashcards, certification information, reference material, and

feedback forms are available in the Resource Center.

Reports

Best Test Scores report provides a summary of all quiz/text/exam scores. Users can look at each quiz “attempt” (i.e. every time a quiz is completed the results are saved) and review the questions that were answered incorrectly. Users can take practice quizzes as many times as they’d like.

Pre-/Post-Test Comparison reviews the user’s pre- and post-test scores by section to gauge knowledge gain.
