THE IB DIPLOMA PROGRAMME AT ST. PAUL
We would like to acknowledge that we
are on sacred Indigenous territory and
thank the Mississaugas of the New Credit
First Nation for being the stewards of this
land.
mort.
Amen.
Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of
thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at
the hour of our death
Amen.

THEORY OF KNOWLEDGE
Theory of Knowledge(TOK) aims to make students aware of the interpretative
nature of knowledge, including personal ideological biases.
TOK is assessed through an oral presentation and a 1,600 word essay. It asks
students to reflect on the nature of knowledge, and on how we know what we
claim to know. One hundred (100) hours required (requires also concurrency of
learning).
EXTENDED ESSAY (EE)
Extended Essay (EE) is an independent, self-directed piece of research, finishing with a 4,000-word
paper in any subject area on the International Baccalaureate Organization list of approved

acquainted with in the IB Programme at St. Paul.
Grade 11 (January): Extended Essay presentation
