Battalion Office The Battalion Office will be close from Friday 8 th July to Monday 18 th July 2016. Craggan 2017 Bookings Now Open We are now taking Craggan bookings for 2017 and slots are filling up fast. If your company would like to make a booking please contact the office. The availabilty calendar is available on the website. Battalion Supplies Depot The Battalion Supplies Depot with be closed for the summer from 1 st to 31 st July 2016. Any orders required during this time please phone/email the office in the first instance. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Invite to all Battalion Companies & Leaders from Lowland RFCA The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Company (REMT) have offered a number of seats to the uniformed youth organisations for the pre-dress rehearsal that takes place on the 4 th August at 1930 hrs. I have been asked by the REMT to coordinate the seating requirement for the cadets organisations and I am aware that there is interest amongst other groups to attend as well. There are certain REMT conditions that apply to the event and they are: Uniform - All Groups are to wear uniform including Adults Adult Supervision - Each group is to be accompanied the appropriate number of Adults as regulations specify as per size of the group. Parking - There is no parking facilities in or around the Castle precincts, including the Castle, Castlehill, Lawnmarket or Johnston Terrace. There is parking at the Kings Stable Road, Car Park, but this may have restrictions as to the size of vehicles. Queuing – This is to take place on Johnston Terrace but not before 1800 hrs . Queues are to form up from outside the Edinburgh Festival, Hub Building down the pavement on Johnston Terrace. Ques are to be orderly and are to follow the instructions of the REMT Staff.

Seating – All groups will be directed to Esplanade to take their seats under the direction of the REMT Staff.
Groups are to be seated as instruction and not to change/move locations.
Litter – All groups are to be aware of not littering the Castle reproaches or Stand Complex, as a full Dress
Rehearsal for paying customers will follow. Seating areas are to be checked for litter by Adults before
departure.
Dispersal – On completion of the Performance all are to leave the Stand Complex efficiently and under the
direction of the REMT Staff. Please note that the audience for the next performance will be queuing and
forming up on Johnston Terrace.
Please let me know how many seats you may require for your groups to attend the dress rehearsal and I will pool your
numbers in with the cadet organisations. Some of our cadet units will be away on their annual camps over this period
so I do not foresee any issues with seat numbers.
