Volume Six: Seasons(Brought to you by a Glitch in the

Matrix)

Hello again. If you’re reading this, then you’ve watched me power my way through generation one to generation six of a Sims 2 Legacy. You know the drill so far; each generation reaching adulthood results in a new EP being installed. Now that Seasons is added, I get to have generation seven. It really has been just a week of me playing in my spare time, and I have a lot of that.

You will also know that I don’t get attached to my sims. They do what they have to do and have freewill most of the time. This makes it easy for me to not stop and take pictures of every little thing and then spend a couple days writing out a chapter (and then subsequently getting bored of playing).

My only goal for this EP was to get a perfect plant. I thought it was much harder than it really is (because of the Sims 3 and 4) so my secondary goal was hoping to get a plantsim. Now to see how that turned out…

STEP ONE: END THE SUMMER BY STARTING G7As anyone with seasons knows, the default is that you start on the last day of summer heading into autumn.

I later downloaded a Pescado hack to prevent water balloons.

STEP FIVE: HAVE DOG ENTER ELDERHOODAnd have the trash glitch.

STEP SEVEN: BEGIN OW SIGNS OF PREGNANCY

STEP FIFTEEN: MEET SEBASTIAN LEGACYFor all intents and purposes, he will be the heir. 4/4/9/7/1.Basically I need a boy for what I plan to do for generation eight… if you catch my drift.

I saved the game at this point to go and get tons of custom content and a few mods. Then last night/this morning, from 12AM to 4AM, I played through to the end of this generation. There was this whole other kid…

STEP THIRTY-ONE: SHOW OFF WHOLE OTHER KIDHis name was Travis and he was born when Gary and Rose were six days away from being elders. I thought, what the hell, they know best. I wanted it to be that they died before he could be an adult so he had to stay behind from college to keep the house in the family, but when Gary died Rose glitched while dying and then I couldn’t save. I didn’t realize this would affect my saving ability until Travis reached adulthood and I wanted to exit to install Bon Voyage.

STEP THIRTY-TWO: ENTER ALTERNA-VERSE

STEP THIRTY-THREE: NEARLY FREEZE TO DEATHNow I remember why I thought the seasons lagged my game: because of those freaking over-heat and freeze skintones. I really need to find a hack that gets rid of them going forward since it can only get laggier from here.

STEP THIRTY-FOUR: MACKENZIE REACHES LTW

STEP THIRTY-FIVE: CHILD SIOBHAN

STEP THIRTY-SIX: TEENAGE SEBASTIANAfter spending an entire night playing, I couldn’t be bothered to take many pictures today. I kept their aspirations from the original verse, so Sebastian is a fortune sim. Instead of wanting to be the law, he wants to be a business tycoon. He likes cologne and red hair and hates fatness in the alterna-verse. In the original, he rolled for that and swimwear but hated glasses.

STEP THIRTY-SEVEN: THE COUNT DIESAt age 69… teehee… now I’m sad… and childish.

STEP THIRTY-EIGHT: HAVE YOUR FINGER SLIPI need to get Mackenzie to work on those weeds.

STEP THIRTY-NINE: TEENAGE SIOBHANRolled popularity, kept the same LTW (20 best friends). Went from liking cologne and glasses to liking fatness and underwear. Went from hating brown hair to hating black hair.

STEP FORTY: GET HER BACK IN ORIGINAL UNIVERSE OUTFITI downloaded some really old CC last night. I wanted some really bad stuff in my game just to be nostalgic about the good old days.

STEP FORTY-ONE: MACKENZIE DIESAge 75. You will be missed.

STEP FORTY-TWO: PUT YOUR G6 HEIR INTO THEIR LTW CAREERIt doesn’t look like she will ever be a plantsim, so I have to concede.

STEP FORTY-THREE: WONDER WHY YOU EVEN HAVE A DOG BED WITHOUT HAVING A DOG

STEP FORTY-FIVE: TRY TO PRETEND YOU’RE STILL YOUNG

STEP FORTY-EIGHT: SCOWL ABOUT NOT GOING TO COLLEGECheer up, buddy. Maybe a vacation will do you good. Also being abducted by aliens… hopefully.

After I lost all my hard work with Travis, I kind of was like “screw this” with generation seven. I like both Sebastian and Siobhan, but Travis was a fun kid to play. He was a bisexual romance sim who wanted to woohoo 20 sims. Thanks to ACR, he could start as a teen and got two notches in the bedpost. He liked muscles and glasses and hated black hair. Personality 4/4/9/7/1, just like his brother. The plan was to have him sleep around in the different vacation neighbourhoods, come back, and spend every night stargazing.

Oh well, even before Travis was born Sebastian would have been the heir because I want an alien baby. Or two. Cheesecake still works. I may cheat to get it, but not with boolprop. I have a 10x abduction telescope that I could use that went with the multiple PT default replacements I always download for the game. At this point, I’m about to start generation 8 so I don’t think it matters how I get the aliens.

Part of the reason I’m doing this instead of getting a new spouse is that too many sims may lag the lot. Keeping it down to five at most is a good way to keep it under control.
