Early in Time

1791 - The Chappe brothers, in France, were in their teens and were going to schools some distance apart but visible to each other. They obtained permission to set up a signaling system so they could send messages to each other. Their semaphore system consisted of movable arms on a pole whose positions denoted letters of the alphabet.

The Patent of the Telephone

1837 - Cooke and Wheatstone obtain a patent on telegraph. Morse publicly demonstrates his telegraph.

Innocenzo Manzetti• 1844: First

mooted the idea of a “speaking telegraph” (telephone).

Antonio Meucci1854: He demonstrates an electric voice operated device in New York, but it is not clear what kind of device he demonstrated.

1876 - Alexander Graham Bell invents the telephone. Elisha Gray files a patent application 3 hours after Bell. Over 600 patent suits filed during the next 11 years. Settled in Bell's favor. Bell offers his patent to Western Union for $100,000. I obtained the following item years ago from Warren Bender, of A.D. *1

Collaboration 19 February 1880: The photo phone, also known as a radiophone, is invented jointly by Alexander Graham Bell and Charles Sumner Tainter at Bell's Volta Laboratory. The device allowed for the transmission of sound on a beam of light.

Why ?

• Alexander Graham Bell , Born on March 3 , 1847 . He was credited with inventing the first practical telephone .He is a great inventor who has created many devices that are beneficial to many of us today. Throughout Graham’s life he had been interested in the education of deaf people .This led to his invention of the microphone and “electrical speech machine” known as the telephone. This invention first started off with two other inventors named Cooke and Wheatstone on a telegraph. The original telephone looked like a typewriter meaning it has come a long way.

Negative Effect

Usually Cell phone share very costly and they are a major distraction . Cell phones also effect the health of our society . Cell phones have a high level of RF which can cause heat and damage to tissue . If your cell phones are broken information can be lost and given to strangers . Lastly cell phones also pushes people away from each other .
