    Foundedin 1903 by Henry Ford Sr.
    Ford Motor Company, headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan.
    Manufactures Aston Martin, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury and Volvo.
    The only automotive company that didnttake the bailout money in 2008.
    The worlds second largest automaker.

    Debuted on April 17, 1964 at the New York World Fair.
    Priced at $2,368
    22,000 orders placed on the first day.
    The name was in reference to a Mustang Fighter Pilot from World War II.
  4. 4. Trademark Features
    The running wild-horse theme was adopted almost immediately.
    Other Features include:
    Triple tail lights
    Lengthened hood
    Shortened rear
  5. 5. The 2011 Mustang 3.7 liter DOHC V6 powers out 315hp.
    The 6-speed manual transmission and the compact size of the engine will leave room to really get creative under the hood
    Expected in 2012, the new V8 will meet or exceed the current 3V V8 in mpg.

    Motor Trend Car of the Year in 1974 and 1994.
    The 1965 Mustang won the Tiffany Gold Medal for excellence in American design, the first automobile ever to do so.

    Started as a pace car leading the 1964 Indianapolis 500
    Finished first and second in the 1964 Tour de France.
    American competition debut, also in 1964, was indrag racing.
