Film Industry Definition:
The making of a film product my combining a multitude of different features and elements, such as film production companies, film studios, cinematography, film production, screenwriting, pre-production, post production, film festivals, distribution and actors.
The Beginning• The first ever ‘film’ was created in Australia, in1906 called The Story of
the Kelly Gang. It only lasted a mere 8 minutes.• By 1911, other countries had began to make feature length films, but
Australia had already produced a further 15 films.• In the 1910’s a lot of production companies moved from the East coast
of USA to the West coast. This was because there was better lighting and weather, but also because it made it more difficult for Thomas Edison to enforce his motion picture patents., which often had led to independent production companies being sued in the East (this was beginning of what is no famously known as Hollywood)
