(3) Every person in charge of mechanical vehicle far crossing a barlier shall pay 60. the toll Inspector posl.ed al, the: barrier the toll and sha!l obtain a receipt from him in token of having pair? 1,he amounl, specified therein.

(4) The mcchanical veliicle, which hzr paid loll under sub-section (3) at any barrier in the Slate, shall not be required lo pay toll again while crossing any other barrier established under l i~ic Act wit hi11 a ~ ~ F I O ~ I 0P24 hours.

4. Servants etc. to be public servants.--All pezsols appointed under 1.his Act slaall be decmcd to be pi~blic servant's wiihin the 1;icatzing of section 21 of the Indian Psaal Code.

BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal M e s h in the F@-second Year ofthe Republic of India, as follows :-

3, Amendment of section 2.- In section2 of the principal Act,-

(a) in clause @), for the brackets, figures, words and sign "(18) of section 2 of the .

Motoi !Vehicles Act, 1939 (4 of L939)", the brackets, figures, words and sign "(28) of section 2 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988)" shall be substituted; ' . I

(b) after clause (d), the following shall be added, namely :-

5. Insertion of section 9-A.- Aftcr scctioo 9 of the principal Act, the following shall bc inserted, namely :-

"9-A Establishment of Mobile Squads.- ( I ) The State Government may, by notification, order the establishment of Mobile Squads for checkmg of the vehicles to erlslue wllechon of the toll and

(3) The drivcr or person-in-charge df the mechanical vehicle shall , .

(4) If the driver or the person-in-charge of the mechanical vehiclc fads to produce the receipt of payment of toll or token, as required under sub-sedion (3), then the tolling authority shall recover the toll at the placc of inspection at the rah specified under column (3) of the SchhIe :
