Dear Hampton Golf Community,
I want to extend our heartfelt thanks and appre-
ciation to each and every one of you for the won-
derful cash donations, toys and children’s clothing
given to Shriners Hospitals for Children— Bos-
ton. Your generosity and kindness towards our
children made the holiday season so much happier
and comfortable for our kids and families. Many of
you came to us through your relationship with TJ
McGowan and his wonderful family. We are so
honored and privileged to be involved with the
McGowans, the Davises and everyone in your
community. Thank you for continuing TJ’s legacy
through your generosity, you are all great friends
and we consider you part of the Shriner’s fami-
ly. Thank you again for organizing such a fantastic
fundraiser! Carolyn Wahto, Development Officer 1
Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston.

COMEDY NIGHT
AT THE HAMPTONS
It's said that laughter is the best medicine and
helps keep us younger, so with that being
said, on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 7 PM,
Helping Hands is hosting a clean adult
comedy night with two (2) comedians, Mike
Parenti and Rene Bray. Tickets for this event
are $10 per person (no limit on amount
purchased) and will be on sale in the office
on Monday, February 4, 2019. This is an
assigned seat event. As always, all pro-
ceeds go toward helping the children of
Auburndale. For information, contact
Conrad Gallant … 508-742-7619.
The Hampton Education Foundation is now as-
sembling teams of volunteers to work a conces-
sion stand at each of the Detroit Tigers’ Spring
Training home games at Publix-Joker Marchant
Stadium in Lakeland. We earn money for the
foundation’s scholarship fund in one of two
ways:
1. We receive 10% of the total gross sales for
the day – or we receive $50 per person work-
ing that day.
2. We also receive generous tips from the public
for our service.
The game dates are: Feb. 22, 24, 27, March
1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 14, 16, 17, 18, 21, 23, 24
(all day games)
If you would like to help out at one or more of
the games or would like more information, con-
tact Kevin Dunn at 863-604-9323. This would
be a great way for new residents to get to know
their neighbors and to be of service at the same
time.
To the Hampton Community Thank you from the bottom of our Hearts for
your continued generosity for the Children at
the Shriners Hospital for Children (Boston,
MA). This year’s contributions resulted in a
fabulous Christmas for those children who are
going through a very tough time. Your un-
waving support is so much appreciated from
the entire McGowan and Davis families. TJ
would be so impressed and grateful to each and
every one of you who contributed.
Sincerely, Jan McGowan, Kim and Jim Davis
and the entire family.

H.E.F. February Golf Cart
Poker Run
The popular Golf Cart Poker Run in Febru-ary will take place on Thursday, February 21st and will be sponsored by Mattress Warehouse & Flooring and Red Hoa-gland Hyundai. Tickets are on sale in the Office at $5.00 each and include a free meal of Chili with cornbread and dessert. Continue the New Year with a fun late after-noon at the fun Golf Cart Poker Run. In an effort to better serve our Poker Run guests in comfort, all ticket sales will stop before Noon on the Tuesday prior to the Poker Run. You do not need a golf cart to play. The
Hampton Grille offers beverages for sale,
and there’s always a 50/50 raffle. Annual
Poker Run tickets are available at a dis-
counted price, and will enter you in eight
consecutive poker runs for prizes, even
when you aren’t able to attend. All proceeds
benefit the 2019 H.E.F. Scholarship Pro-
gram for high achieving high school gradu-
ates in need of aid.
H.E.F. Sponsored Presentation The Auburndale City Mayor, Tim Pospichal,
approached the Hamptons Educational Founda-
tion about providing a safety message to the res-
idents of the Hamptons Golf & Country Club.
We are happy to announce that a team of two
people, an Auburndale City fire fighter along
with a hospice worker, will be giving their third
presentation on preventing falls. This will take
place on February 21st, immediately following
the H.E.F. Golf Cart Poker Run in the ballroom.
It will last for 30 to 45 minutes. There is no
charge to attend this presentation following the
Poker Run and everyone is welcome.
Thank You To All Of Our Hampton
Friends
Our deepest thanks goes out to all of you
for reaching our “Pairs of Socks Goal” this
year. The goal was 1000 pairs. You not only
helped us achieve that goal; you exceeded
it. You contributed a total of 1120 pairs of
socks. Thanks to each and every one of you
for “sockerosity”. It truly means a lot to
me, my family and more importantly to the
5 charities that received the socks because
of your generosity. As most of you know,
my wife Donna passed in 2018. Before her
passing she had set a goal of 1000 socks
this year. Because of your amazing gener-
osity, you made sure this goal became a re-
ality. I know she has a huge, grateful smile
on her face. Thank you, again, for your
heartfelt generosity. Our new goal this year
is 2000 pairs of socks. We will start our
2019 Sock Campaign Mid October.
Thank you again for your continued
support. Sincerely, Tom Liniski and family.
