Gurdjieff taught by his presence and by thecircumstances he created for those who worked with him. His multifaceted and indirect approachwas—and is—experienced and expressed throughhow one responds to these challenges, an approach that calls for work on oneself towardself-remembering, individually, with others, andself-remembering, individually, with others, andespecially in one’s everyday life. His teaching,primarily an oral tradition, took three equallyimportant forms: his writings, music, andsacred dances.
This evening’s event includes a talk touching on these ideas, a short video clip of the Movements, and a live performance of selected piano music. and a live performance of selected piano music. Afterwards, guests who wish to explore further are invited to engage in an informal exchange.
