Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual

should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on

yourself, lest you too be tempted.

Are we ensnared?

2 Timothy 2:24-26

And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone,

able to teach, patiently enduring evil, 25 correcting his opponents with

gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a

knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape

from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

Do we lose our senses?

James 1:13-16

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot

be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each person is

tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire when it

has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers.

We make our choices

v. 16 The Natural Man Knows God’s Law is Good

Most people are searching for something…

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in

v. 16 The Natural Man Knows God’s Law is Good

Most people are searching for something…

Ecclesiastes 3:16-17Moreover, I saw under the sun that in the place

of justice, even there was wickedness, and in the place of righteousness, even there was wickedness. 17 I said in my heart, God will

judge the righteous and the wicked, for there is a time for every matter and for every work.
