Chinese Paper Making Process The “Chinese paper making process” was an economic achievement of the empire. It spread throughout the empire because of how much faster the process was then making parchment or papyrus. Therefore the new process was very popular. First government offices used them; next, the rest of society. Stores sold books and paper while businesses used paper as money similar to today's checks.

Zero is my Hero!Did you know that without zero algebra would be impossible!? Arabic numerals adapted from Hindu also take a big part in Algebra. Thanks to a man named Al-Khwarizmi, we have algebra concepts. The algebra textbook he created (during the Islamic Golden Age) was the standard for centuries. Therefore math was an intellectual achievement from the Golden age.

Four Rightly Califs

The “Four Rightly Califs” were four caliphs who were close to Muhammed. They were chosen to rule after Muhammad's death in 632 AD, since he gave no instruction on how Arabia should be ruled. This was a political achievement because, they set a government system that would be passed on to today.

Although the empire would like to appear as though they didn’t push Islam on its citizens. However, due to a tax called jizya, they still had many conversions from Jews and Christians. Since the tax was for specifically for non-Muslims. This was a Social achievement from the Golden Age of Islam.
