In relation to the lesson “Want Not, Waste Not” of Class IV EVS, an awareness campaign was organised to nurture the young minds on the usage of jute bags and cloth bags to reduce the need for plastic bags. Students from all sections of class IV carried jute bags and cloth bags to the school to promote their usage in their day to day lives. A discussion on the harmful effects of plastic bags on the environment and the advantages of using bags made of natural fibers like jute and cotton was also held in the class.
