Here is an example of changing a ‘normal’ start of a story to a ‘sizzling’ start: The Cranky Tooth Fairy Once there was a Tooth Fairy with a bad temper. She always went out and … Now for the Sizzling Start The Cranky Tooth Fairy ‘Whaaaaat… Is that the fairy?’ the lile kid in the bed muered. ‘No!’ said the Tooth Fairy. ‘Be quiet. And keep your eyes shut or you’ll get no money for your tooth.’ It was her 104th visit for the night and her wings hurt and she was definitely over eager lile kids. HSIE Teacher Mrs Georgina Wozniak has been appointed to BCS for the rest of the year as HSIE teacher. Mrs Wozniak has done some casual work at BCS and will make an excellent addion to our school. Mrs Wozniak will start here next Monday. Special Guest of the Week Congratulaons to Allie Haida who was part of the winning JRAP Netball team who will now progress to the Regional final in Wag- ga in Term 3. Have a wonderful week full of learning. Cross Country Congratulaons to all students who parcipated in the Cross Country last Friday. Super effort from you all! Sport Report Week 10 Secondary RAP Tennis Today sees Norm Haeusler, Jane Haeusler, Paige Kenny and Jake Bourchier travel to Temora for the first round of the tennis knockout. Good luck to our BCS representatives. Cross Country Last Friday saw a very successful Annual BCS Cross Country held at the local Golf Club. Farrer were the winning house this year 98 points to 60. The champions on the day were : Junior Primary Girls Sophie Male, Runner-up Rebekah Praestiin Junior Primary Boys Timothy Davies, Runner-up Zeke Rosenberg 11 Years Primary Girls Brianna Praestiin, Runner-up Emmalene Rosenberg 11 Years Primary Boys Tre Kessey, Runner-up Clancy Male Senior Primary Girls Anika Praestiin , Runner-up Allie Haida Senior Primary Boys Jack Inglis, Runner-up Jordan Spowart Junior Secondary Girls Jane Haeusler, Runner-up Paige Kenny Junior Secondary Boys Abe Forbutt, Runner-up Arnold Luppi Senior Secondary Girls Jessie McDermott, Runner-up Lillian Geltch Senior Secondary Boys Noah Forbutt, Runner-up Kokulan Kandeepan Congratulations to all these champions and runners -up and everyone who tried their best on the day. The partici-pation was excellent this year, including the under 8's who had their own special events. Thank you to all the parents and supporters who came along to cheer the kids and help with time-keeping, etc. The Zone Carnivals will be next term, Primary at Marrar, Secondary at Ariah Park, so per-mission notes should go out by the end of this term. A big thank you to the staff and Mr Waide for his wonderful help in marking out and setting out the track.
That just about concludes our sporting events for the term. Well done everyone.

ANZAC Day Parade 2017
Barellan Central School students are invited to march
and participate in the town ceremony on Tuesday 25th
April. Please wear full Winter school uniform including
black foot wear and assemble out-side the Community
Hall at 2.30 pm for a 3.00pm march time. Please wear
school hats and bring a water bottle if it is hot.
This year’s address will be delivered by Mr Ross Marsh.
We are privileged to have the talented Leeton Town
Band involved in our service again in 2017, thanks to
their dedicated band leader Ruth Tait. A collection for
legacy will be taken at the conclusion of the ceremony
so students can carry a gold coin with them.
Afternoon tea will be served at the Barellan War Me-
morial Club following the ceremony and everyone is
welcome to attend. Barellan Central School has a proud
history of high student participation at this community
event. Let's do the same again this year.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Cross Country last week. I must congratulate all students for having a go and being so supportive of each other. I will be away for the rest of this week, Mrs Hart will be on K/1. It will be class as normal. School Photos are this Thursday, please ensure that your child Is in full Summer uniform. If there are any changes in how your child goes home in the after-noons can you please contact the school office or myself on class dojo. Remember that students are encouraged to bring in a piece of fruit for Crunch and Sip. Students are also encouraged to bring in a water bottle. If you need to get in contact with myself please send me a message on class dojo or leave a message at the office.
