Hi Guys, what are the EDS design services thatExertis offer and what is your involvement? Ben: The Design & Sourcing team is based on a strongbackbone of Industrial and Graphic design expertise. Theunique relationships we have built with manufacturersand suppliers in the Far East means that we are able tohandle almost any project on any scale. We have workedon a comprehensive range, including; conceptual productand packaging solutions, ODM/OEM projects for OwnBrand opportunities, unique brand creation anddevelopment and the sourcing and shipping of anyproduct you can imagine.

Dan: We are a specialist service team that are dedicatedto provide tailored value added solutions for yourbusiness and product range. Our industrial and graphicdesign capabilities help to bring unique products anddesigns through to market. In a nutshell; we source,design, develop and manufacture consumer goods.

Can you tell us more about what your role entails?Dan: As a designer I have responsibilities to work withinthe design team and with the customer to discuss andunderstand the specific requirements for each brief andcreate a unique approach and outcome that will maximisethe potential for the clients needs. On a day-to-day basis

I liaise with suppliers in the Far East to help see designsthrough from product brief and initial sketches to finalCAD surface and solid models that are used for visualpresentation, product development and production and everything in between.

Which project are you most proud of and whichhas been the toughest? Dan: Recently the ones that stand out are the Argos andTesco projects, where we produced and delivered a rangeof own brand speakers into the UK market. All projectscan be tough but as a designer it is part of the problemsolving mindset that drives us to deliver a solution to any deadline.

Ben: Definitely working with buyers to develop audiodesigns that have eventually seen a number of SKUscome to market, and more recently the completeredesigning and repositioning of the Linx brand as atablet range has been particularly rewarding and hasallowed me take control over some areas of design that are new to me.

Describe yourself in 3 words?Ben: Meticulous. Original. Witty.Dan: Ambitious. Easy-going. Creative.

The creators of the seminal Left 4 Dead seriesreturn next year with another exhilaratingmultiplayer experience.

Due for release in February 2015, Evolve is billed as “aunique next gen shooter” where four human huntersteam up and fight together to take down a singleplayer-controlled monster.

In the human ‘hunter’ role, players have four classes tochoose from - Trapper, Support, Assault, or Medic - andeach has its own distinct play style. All of the roles arecrucial to the success of the group, and players mustwork together as a team and stalk their prey if they areto succeed against their brutal foe.

The Assault class, for example, has the most powerfulweaponry, the Medic keeps the team alive and kicking,the Trapper is the best at tracking the monster, whilethe Support class help their team mates rain deathdown upon their enemy. A motley crew of 12 charactersis available, including war veterans, psychopaths,professionals and expendables.

The player who elects to control the monster,meanwhile, has multiple monsters to choose from,including the fire-spewing, earth-ripping Goliath, andthe flying, magic-blasting Kraken.

As the monster, players will be able to eat smallerwildlife and evolve into a stronger version - but at therisk of leaving themselves briefly vulnerable while theyenter a cocoon-like state. Along the way, the monstermay also be tasked with destroying buildings and othersecondary objectives.

Success during the battle allows players to earn skillpoints, and upgrade their three main abilities, alongwith a selection of new skins and perks.

Available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Evolve promises to be a true next generation title, and is availablethrough Exertis.
