An integrated solution from L3 Communication Systems-East (CS-East)provides increased situational awareness and automation. Critical Products L3 CS-East’s products are often a small portion of the overall system delivered; however, these critical products have a large impact on the performance and life cycle of the systems. Program risk reduction is achieved using our established integration products for a broad range of platforms and customers. Our systems have enhanced performance and are supported throughout the life of the program. As a flexible integrator, L3 CS-East takes advantage of the best components and subsystem equipment available worldwide. For every solution we choose equipment and suppliers that create commonality and interoperability for our customers. Our own integration products are specifically designed to support this open-architecture approach.

CommunicationsL3 CS-East specializes in electronic systems integration, ranging from interior communications to full C4ISR solutions. Our MarCom® and Symphony® product families enable platforms, organizations and facilities to perform their missions more securely and effectively. These tools have the flexibility to interface with virtually any third-party equipment, are scalable for any size platform and are configurable to allow one software baseline to be maintained across the entire customer base.

MarCom Integrated Communications provides connectivity and communications services. This product suite enables the integration of communications equipment into an easy-to-use, maintainable system, enhancing mission performance.

The Symphony Resource Manager enables the operator to manage assets to support communication plans without requiring detailed technical knowledge. Symphony makes communications management flexible, adaptable and dependable. Our services framework enables other C4ISR domains to be similarly managed by Symphony at the same command center workstation.

EncryptionL3 CS-East’s network security products are innovative, have small form-factor designs and provide cross-service and cross-agency interoperability. With over 65 years of Information Assurance expertise, we proactively design security into our system architectures from program inception. Our multiple security domain networks and integrated systems have been accredited and deployed on a multitude of platforms. L3 CS-East continues to be a leader in the expanding field of cybersecurity and secure communications. We provide the fastest and smallest Top Secret and Below (TSAB) encryptors in the world. Our portfolio of products (STE, RedEagle®, Talon®2 and unityCP®) provide the warfighter with the tools needed to pass secure data effectively and efficiently, defending our networks.

STE is the industry standard for secure voice and data communications with over 275,000 units deployed worldwide. STE supports voice, data, video teleconferencing, gateway access to secure enclaves and remote access to secure data. STE is compatible with digital and analog networks, NSA-certified and battle-proven. It is the most versatile solution for interoperable secure voice and data.

RedEagle provides users with reliable cybersecurity for U.S., Joint/Coalition and Homeland Security missions at classification levels up to Top Secret/SCI. L3 CS-East developed and produces the KG-245X 10G TSAB device, deployed and proven as the most solid network encryptor available for critical operational networks. Our KG-245A 1G TSAB network encryptor is a ruggedized tactical security solution for any environment.

Talon2 is a versatile in-line encryptor that enables users to access secure networks from virtually anywhere. Talon2 is NSA certified to secure data classified up to Top Secret/SCI across unprotected networks such as NIPRNet or the Internet. Talon2 is interoperable with both HAIPE® and SCIP protocols. Talon2’s small size, low-cost and operational flexibility make it the perfect solution.

The unityCP crypto engine provides high performance, fixed and programmable functionality in an NSA-certified TSAB custom application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC). It is a member of the family of INFOSEC ASIC devices offered for embedded applications in harsh environments. The device has been implemented with a true multi-processor architecture supporting multiple simultaneous algorithms at high data rates.

Data StorageL3 CS-East is a leading supplier of data storage and archiving systems for space, airborne, surface and subsurface applications. We are experienced in designing and producing high-performance storage systems spanning the spectrum of media choices.

The Strategic/Tactical Airborne Recorder (S/TAR™) product line is our family of combat-proven, magnetic disk and solid-state storage devices and servers for high-capacity, high data rate, severe environment airborne applications. These devices serve fixed-wing, rotary-wing and UAV platforms, as well as associated ground support elements. The S/TAR product line is ideally suited for applications that require high bandwidth, flexible data storage solutions.

Unattended Ground SensorsL3 CS-East has more than 30 years of experience in militarized tactical battlefield intelligence and force protection systems. Our REM-Sense® secure sensor family provides site security and border surveillance for both military and law enforcement applications. These solutions allow users to quickly turn any perimeter into an intelligent smart fence without the need for power or networking.

REM-Sense passively detects, classifies and tracks personnel and vehicle targets. It is field-proven in a wide range of tactical operations worldwide. REM-Sense’s imaging equipment provides day and night “eyes-on” target identification at moderate range. REM-Sense components are interoperable and compatible with a number of military and commercial sensor message formats. They are software upgradeable and can be tailored to support various missions.

The REM-Sense Battlefield Anti-Intrusion System provides improved early warning, intrusion detection and threat classification of vehicles and personnel. The REM-Sense Sentinel is an improved low-cost, expendable sensor system. Both systems support small tactical units up to company level, providing physical security for borders, forward operating bases and other high value assets.

RF SIGINTL3’s proven RF SIGINT capabilities provide automated, high-speed signal search, detection, characterization, copy and geo-location. These systems target and prosecute both communications and non-communications emitters (COMINT/ELINT/FISINT). Our systems are programmable to operate in either a blind-search mode or a specific-signals-of-interest search mode. L3’s SkyHawk product is ideal for today’s battlefield, which is characterized by an extremely dense signal environment. The system is low-SWaP and modular; ideal for small manned or unmanned airborne, maritime, ground and special mission platforms. SkyHawk offers signal detection/identification, direction finding/geo-location, signal processing/exploitation, signal analysis/reporting and emitter mapping.
