The uterus has 3 sections. The 3 sections of the uterus are thefundus(upper), corpus(Body) and thecervix(lower). 8. The Uterine Wall The uterine wall is composed of 3 layers Perimetrium Myometrium Endometrium The perimetrium is the incomplete outer-mostserous layer. The myometrium is the bulky middle layer,composed of interlacing bundles of smoothmuscles. Those smooth muscles contractduring childbirth, to expel the baby from theuterus. 9. The Uterine WallContinued The endometrium is the mucosal lining of the uterine cavity. It is the place the embryo attaches to if fertilized and resides until development. 10.
