New members are welcome in all St. Paul’s choirs! Weekly rehearsals have resumed. Please let me
know of your interest or of any questions you may have. ([email protected]; church phone 845-
7301; home phone: 845-7455.)
The St. Paul’s Choir: Weekly Rehearsals resumed Thursday, Sept. 3rd, 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the Choir
Room. The Choir leads the music at the 10:30 a.m. service (summer 10:00 a.m.) year round and enjoys
a warm fellowship with lots of laughter! Special attention is devoted to the music for All Saints Sunday,
the Service of Advent Lessons and Carols, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, Easter, and the Day of Pentecost.
The St. Paul’s Hand Bell Choir: Weekly Rehearsals resume Monday, Sept. 14th, 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the
Choir Room. The bell choir consists of eleven or twelve adults or youth who ring our beautiful three-octave (plus four bells) set
of Schulmerich Hand Bells. Music is prepared for certain service preludes and hymn and anthem accompaniments, and the bell
choir has presented community outreach programs. The members enjoy a rich and fun fellowship!
The St. Paul’s Choristers: Fall Term Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 29th, and continue through Dec. 1st, 4:15-5:15 p.m. The Choristers (five years old through 5th grade) and the Choral Scholars (6th grade and up) gather on Tuesday afternoons for
snacks followed by rehearsal of hymns and anthems, music games, and the learning of some basic note-reading skills. For part of
the rehearsal, the participants are divided into younger and older groups for age-appropriate instruction. Please call me or see me at
church if you have any questions. Mrs. Joyce Bailey, Mrs. Anne McKenna, and I are excited to see our returning choristers and to
welcome new members!
