Mark Bowland Leadership Fund

The Mark Bowland Leadership Fund has been established to honor the life of Mark Bowland, a graduate of the Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation, Class of 1996. This award recognizes the contributions of young adult leaders and the indelible impact that their efforts have on the present and future. This half tuition scholarship shall provide financial assistance to an undergraduate student at ASU. Multiple recipients may be considered by the donors.

Minimum GPA: 3.25 Need-based: Yes (requires filing a FAFSA) Residency: Arizona resident or Non-Arizona resident Enrollment status: Full-time Academic level: Junior Campus: Tempe, Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic, West Additional criteria: LGBTQA Services will organize a committee of student leaders and professionals in the

field of higher education to initially screen applicants. Finalists will be forwarded to donors for final selection. The selection of the recipient will be based on demonstration of leadership, financial need and academic merit (3.25 grade-point average). Applicants will be evaluated on their Application, Letters of Recommendation and academic transcript. This scholarship has the possibility of renewal for subsequent years, providing the recipient continues to meet the conditions of eligibility.

The Scholarship deadline is Tuesday, February 7, 2012.

December Events

A Holiday Festival of Choirs - ASU Combined Choirs December 5, 7:30 p.m.

Camelback Bible Church, 3900 E. Stanford Drive, Paradise Valley

Cost: $10, at the door only, $5 for students with ID

The ASU Choirs return to Camelback for our 5th annual Holiday program featuring music for the season. Participating choirs include Symphonic Chorale, Women's Chorus, Men’s Chorus, Schola Cantorum and Solis Camerata.

Concert proceeds will be used to benefit the Symphonic Chorale’s

participation in the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Divisional Performance in Reno, Nev., Spring 2012.
