Looking To The Future – Where are we now? You may remember that this past May the elders of the church outlined where we are as a church

in relation to the growth in the community and where we think the Lord is taking us so we can

reach more people for Christ. Here is a quick progress report on several important steps we are tak-

ing.

Family Pastor Search: The search team continues to be hard at work looking through resumes,

making phone calls, conducting interviews, and thinking through some specific needs. We thought

from the beginning this could be a lengthy process. The desire is to bring the right person no matter how long it takes.

We remain confident that God is at work. We continue to receive resumes and seek God’s wisdom.

Worship Leader Search: Though this was not part of the original vision we shared in May, God has worked in such a

way that we are in need of a part-time worship leader. Contacts are being made and advertisements are being posted.

Please keep this very important search process in your prayers.

Internal Review: This is a review in which the elders and deacons evaluate certain key factors of leadership. We are

about half way through this process and continue to receive feedback from the leaders.

External Review (Champs): This will be a very valuable process whereby the South Carolina Baptist State Conven-

tion will partner with TCBC in order to provide a check-up. This process allows a third party to look into various aspects

of TCBC to shed light on items that most of us do not recognize. We are in the process of forming a prayer team and a

task force for the 6 to 8 month review.

Relocation: All of the above steps reflect the careful and measured approach to seeking God for His will regarding

TCBC building on our land on Gold Hill Road. We continue to think that our current facilities are not conducive to fu-

ture growth. As we continue to witness the expansion of our area, we remained focused on bringing hope to our area.

Behind these steps is a large group of people who are sacrificially giving their time and expertise to each piece of the

puzzle. We are excited about what God has in store of Tega Cay and Fort Mill. Please keep the vision for the future in

your prayers.

In Christ Alone,

Brad

MINISTRY GROUP FOR OCTOBER

Personnel Ministry Group: Elder: Randy Mabry

Ministerial Staff: Brad Ferguson

The Personnel Ministry Group is devoted to the administrative needs of the church for both volunteer and paid adminis-

trative staff.

This group taps into the spiritual gifts of the Exhorter, Server, Giver, and Administrator.

Please pray for them as they exercise their spiritual gifts in the church.

Administrative Ministry: Team Leader: Brad Ferguson

Ladies Ring - A ring was found in the ladies restroom during the members’ meeting and potluck supper on Sun-

day, August 23rd. If you or someone you know has lost a ring, please contact Sandra Phillips in the church office.

JUST A REMINDER

We are still collecting printer ink cartridges for recycling. Please give us your old cartridges.

They help purchase supplies for the missions ministries. We use them to buy materials to copy

and mail the Nueva Esperanza newsletter. We are using them to purchase materials for the

Honduras VBS and we have used them for materials used for the missions banquets. Please place

cartridges in the display provided, located in the back left corner of the welcome center or leave

them in the container located in the church office. As always, thank you for your support.

It is time once again to publish a new church directory! We want to be sure that all the infor-

mation published is accurate and up to date. If you have had any changes to your information,

please notify the church by emailing: [email protected] no later than October 31, 2015.

Take a moment and look at the current directory (extra copies in foyer) and let the office know if

anything needs to be updated. The information we would like to keep up to date includes:

1. Names of everyone in your family 2. Current physical address 3. Email address - we can list one

or multiple addresses, just let us know 4. Phone Number – home & cell numbers for each person

5. Small Group – the name of the small group you’re connected with.

from around 9-10am. If you have any questions, please contact Terry Van

Dyke at [email protected].

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

News from . . .

Sunday Night Live (SNL) don’t miss out! We hope your children will join us as

we study two new lesson units: “How to Make Good Friends” and “How to Navigate the

New Testament”. We start each SNL evening with a large group teaching time and then

break into smaller groups for deeper discussions. The last 30 minutes are set aside for music

with the children. SNL teaching sessions will run through November 22nd from 4:30-6:30pm

in Building 3. If you have an elementary age child that is interested in participating in SNL,

please contact Melissa Burgess at [email protected].
