Dance Competition

Saudi Arabian entertainers

On April 9, for

International Week,

George Mason had a

dance competition for all

different dances from all

over the world.

A lot of students wanted

to show their traditional

dance in the best way

they could, and many

dances were performed.

They really did very nice

performances.

A lot of students wanted

to attend the event even

though it was at noon and

the weather was too hot.

The place was crowded.

Students were cheering

and holding flags to

encourage the dancers.

There were three

winners; the first winner

was the Indian dance, the

second winner was the

Afghan dance, the third

winner was the Greek

dance.

The competitions began

with the Saudi students’

dance.

Many students thought

that they were terrible

and they didn’t like their

performance, maybe

because they didn’t

prepare well or they

didn’t take the

competition seriously or

they don’t know how to

dance well. They thought

the dance was messy.

Other students said that

the stage wasn’t

organized so the dancers

were lost looking at each

other. One or two dancers

did dance but the others

were standing around the

stage and clapping.

In my opinion the Saudi

dance was the best. For

one moment I got the

feeling that I was back

home. I felt my country

had moved with me to

America. I saw the men

with their traditional

clothes. I think Saudi men

are more handsome

wearing the thob instead

of pants.

Also they smell like my

father because they were

wearing Arabian Oud

perfume. I saw the same

scene that I always see in

Saudi Arabia.

It made me remember my

family and my tradition.

I really enjoyed the dance

and I had so much fun. I

want to thank all the

students who danced in

that event. I am really

proud of them, and I wish

them the best luck.

THE GREAT CIRCUS SHOW

RINGLING BROS BARNUM & BALLEY CIRCUS

On Friday night, April 19, 2013, we went to the most popular show in George Mason University: the circus show. The most important topic in the show was “DRAGONS”.

We saw a lot of things in the show that were attractive not only for children, but also for adults. In fact, the viewers were almost all adults, which was interested for us, because before we came to America, most circus viewers were children or teenagers, not adults. But this show was so good, whether you are young or old everyone will enjoy the show.

For instance, the show had some parts with some animals, such as lions, tigers, elephants and

dogs! However, this show also had some dangerous parts, like the frequent flyer and motorcycles. It even had a Shaolin show. In the attractive circus show. The most dangerous part of the all show was -the motorcycles. In the center of the ring was a a gold ball. Then there were four motorcycles who came first. After they rode around the ring, they went one by one into the big gold ball. We could not believe it!

Then, guess what? These motorcycles rode round inside the ball! We could not trust what we were seeing! This thing was not only unbelievable to us, but also others could not believe what they saw! Everyone at the show

started screaming and applauding. Everyone was shocked. However, then more motorcycles joined them in the ball. In the end, there were six motorcycles in that gold ball. We were so nervous when we saw this part of the show.

The circus is one of the most dangerous work environments in the world. At the same time, it is also one of the most fun. When we saw this show, we were interested in all the parts, but behind the show, there were a lot of people who were working to make this show possible, even risking their lives. We were thankful to these people for working for the greatest show on earth.

Maha Alghuraibi

It was International

Week at George Mason

University! Recently, a lot of

events and shows were

provided for students. One

of these events was Access

Research and Showcase

which was in the Johnson

Center. There were Access

students and their projects

about global poverty.

Some of the Access

students focused on their

project in specific countries

such as Malawi, India,

Zambia and Somalia. Bo Li's

research title was Education

of Girls in Malawi. She

mentioned that the reasons

behind education poverty

are high cost of education,

weak social position and bad

learning environment in

schools. However, the

primary education in Malawi

is free while after that is not

free. Another Access

student, Hanan, chose

education of girls in general,

and she said that girls'

education is important to

teach them to protect

themselves from violence.

Fai's project idea was about

using technology in poor

countries to help people to

get a lot of information and

good knowledge. Weaam

amazed me when she told

me that Mississippi is the

poorest state in America

because it has such low

income. Her project title was

Early Childhood Education

Programs and Poverty in

Mississippi. Fatimah

discussed the quality of

education in India's schools.

Many projects there

were great and helpful. I

think Access students

worked hard on their

projects and explained them

very well to visitors. Access

Research and Showcase had

various areas on global

poverty which were covered

by students like education,

health, finance, economics

and so on.

The two hours that were

spent in Access research

passed rapidly with a lot of

knowledge.

English Corner

Students from the English Corner

George Mason’s ELI has a

lot of helpful workshops.

It helps students to learn

more English in their

break between classes.

One of these workshops is

the English Corner.

The English Corner is

meant to work on

speaking skills. It gathers

students from different

levels and different

nationalities to speak

together and practice

English.

But English Corner has

become much more than

only practicing English.

The students have found

a way to share interests,

and different hobbies,

and to learn about

different cultures, and

build student

relationships. English

Corner has become part

of the weekly students’

lives.

The best thing about

English Corner is that

there is no teacher, only

students having fun. So

student won’t fell shy

when they speak English.

Each week there is a

different activity: games,

acting, and a lot of other

things. The English Corner

also does some trips to

different places. For me

this workshop is the best.

Now I have a lot of

American friends.

I cannot imagine my week

without the English

Corner. It has helped me

so much, and the people

have given me advice

when I needed it. They

have made me

comfortable using my

English. I have never felt

embarrassed about not

being able to speak or not

being understood. T hey

have given me the

courage to say and

express my feelings.

I had a lot of fun, and I’m

grateful for every

moment I spent with

them. They mean so

much to me; they are

more than sisters. They

have been very nice to me

and to everyone in the

workshop. I’m very

thankful to them.

Some of them are

graduating this year. So I

wish them the best

future.

My super friends

Some of my friends

Since I came

here, I have met tons of

friends. They are

Chinese, Korean,

American, Japanese,

and Arabic. We have

known each other

almost one year.

Time is going

really fast and this

semester will finish

soon. Some of my

friends are going back

to their countries. I

really do not want to

split. During the past

year, we have gone

from strangers to close

friends. I know our

friendships are not

easy to destroy.

Looking back I

can see we stayed

together to celebrate

American festivals: we

went to Cox farm to

have fun; we went to a

friend’s house to eat

Thanksgiving food.

We hung out

with each other after

class, talked about our

classes; our own

stories; our countries

and cultures. We ate

diverse countries’ food,

we went shopping

together, we made a

surprise for a birthday

girl, we cooked food

with each other, we

helped each other solve

problems, and we

learned each other’s

languages and

organized a

competition. We have

many common habits.

I do not know

how to describe our

friendship. All the

things we have done

are so unforgettable

and I quite enjoy

staying with all my

friends. I love you, my

friends!

The effects of studying in the US

Who denies that study abroad does not have positive effects? Studying abroad is a good decision. It is not as bad as some people think. In fact, my trial to study in the United States was a great experience. The studying in the United States has affected me in two ways; now I have more responsibility, and my relationship with my brother has become stronger. First, my experience in studying abroad has given me a great responsibility. This responsibility has made me organize my time, and know how to prepare the time for studying. One of the best ways for studying and completing homework assignments is to have a daily schedule. For example, have at least one

hour a day just to perform a simple review, and complete homework. Also, I rely on myself in terms of household duties, such as cooking, doing the laundry and cleaning. In addition, currently I have the ability to manage my money by myself, so I opened a saving account. I learned that I’m supposed to buy only the necessary things, such as food, which I must be sure to eat before it expires. Finally, the relationship between me and my brother has become much stronger than before. Studying abroad has affected our relationship significantly. Now we often go traveling together - the opposite of what we did back home. We have traveled together on two trips during the past six months. Both trips were to

New York. Also, I consult him on most of the decisions I make, even if they are small decisions. For instance, if I want to get shoes or a coat, I often get his opinion. In addition, previously my friends were not his friends. Also his friends were not mine, but mostly now we share all of them.

In the end, study in the United States has affected me in several positive ways. It has given me greater responsibility, and the relationship between me and my brother has become much more powerful than the past. Yes, study abroad is difficult, but it has a lot of beautiful results.

NO Gun Background Check system

The right to have guns is the major right that hurts most of the American nation. Even though there are many families who have suffered losing their kids, and many people around the states have been victims of gun violence, Congress has rejected gun background checks because of the Constitution!

Gun control was rejected by votes from Democrats and Republicans. A few Democrats voted against, while just four Republicans

promoted it! According to the Washington Post and ABC News 9 out of 10 Americans acknowledge that gun background checks is the way to protect their lives. In 1791, the Constitution was amended by adding gun rights that gave Americans the right to own guns and protect their lives from British colonialism. In my view, the reasons and the circumstances to have

this right no longer exist anymore because the time of guns is gone. The United States has the most powerful army and defense department to protect the country, and a great judicial system. Therefore, people don’t need to protect themselves because the government can do that. Having guns without a background check system means the society won’t be safe.

MICHELLE OBAMA’S PROGRAM TO MAKE CHILDREN MORE HEALTHY

Michelle Obama in the White House kitchen Garden with elementary students

Michelle Obama,

the First Lady, is concerned

about children’s health and

she is trying in many ways,

from her White House

kitchen garden to programs

in places like Philadelphia,

Pennsylvania, to help them.

She has just celebrated the

second anniversary of her

program “Let’s Move” in

Disney World.

Scholastic News

reporter, Topanga Sena

recently asked her what the

advantages of this program

were. Michelle Obama

mentioned that it can work

because it is easy and cheap.

It encourages children to

exercise more, stop drinking

soda, eat healthier school

lunches, and learn more

about what to eat.

Natasha Korecki

gave more information

about the “Let’s Move”

program in her online blog.

She says Michelle Obama

recently shared information

about her exercise program

with kids at an elementary

school. Accompanying her

were some famous athletes

like Serena Williams. The

CEO of Nike was also there.

He said that if kids begin

exercising in school when

they are young, they will be

more active and healthy

when they grow up.

Judy Walker from

NOLA.com/Times Picayune

explains how Michelle

Obama is trying to get

children to eat healthier

school lunches with her

second Healthy Lunchtime

Challenge.. Mrs. Obama

wants young children and

their parents to send her

healthy lunch recipes

because her first Healthy

lunchtime Challenge was

very successful. Favorite

recipes from that challenge

included teriyaki salmon

wrap, garden chicken pizza

and vegan Sloppy Joe.

Associated Press

has a picture of Michelle

Obama planting a White

House Kitchen garden with

elementary students (see

above). She believes that

this will help them learn

more about what to eat.

She believes that if children

grow healthy food in their

own garden, there is a

better chance they will eat

this kind of healthy food.

All in all, Michelle Obama is a champion of young people and finds so many ways to help their future become more and more healthy.

2013 April Fool’s with Korean Flavor

North Korea is the top April fool

Who is the top

fool of April Fool’s Day

in 2013? In my

opinion, all the pranks

this year were filled

with excitement.

Many famous

companies launched

a new lie about their

products. But the most

exciting was when

North Korea played a

role in the April fool's.

One of the pranks is

Google nose which is

a new product. It can

smell and search by

smell. In addition,

Google announced You

Tube will be closing.

Moreover, Sony

announced a new

Animalia line of tech

products for pets.

Also, Twitter

announced a new

product. If you want to

use The "Twttr" to

write words with

vowels, you should

pay five dollars a

month. However, I

think all these false

claims were exciting

news.

As a matter of fact, I

choose North Korea’s

statement as the

biggest joke when its

president said it will

launch nuclear

missiles on the U.S.

On 3 April, Korea’s

president in

Pyongyang launched a

new kind of joke. I think

he realized that the

world is frustrated

and full of wars. He

thought another fake

war is not bad, so he

decided that the world

needs to laugh. All the

media published this

news. Then the people

were surprised and

fearful.

In fact, the Korean

leader’s sense of

humor was

responsible for this

comedy. He chose the

third of April to be

distinct from the rest

of the world. He was

devoted to becoming

3rd April political fool.

Lastly, more laughter

means more crazy

political statements in

the world.

WAKE UP..!

The hunger of people

As we know there are many issues around the world. In the last article I wrote about the second most important issue in the world which is called Human Trafficking.

One other problem is the hunger of people. When we see this picture, many questions come into our minds. How many people die around the world? And why are these people hungry? And what are the solutions to help the hungry people?

When I made a search about that in internet, I couldn’t believe what I found. 1 million people in the world

die of hunger each year. Every 5 seconds one of them is a child.

They become hungry when they have a war or there are tyrant’s politics or famine in their countries.

There are many charities which want to help the hunger of people. The king of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi people donated more than 161 million Riyals to the Somali famine in 2011. And they gave many dates and other food, as well as medical supplies and shelter.

There are many donations around the world. The money is not a solution for these people, but we can

buy food for them and help provide a healthy environment which they need to live. And we should all wake up. And do something that works to help them. And we need to do it with others to let them know we know about them and we feel what they feel.

We should end the hunger in our life time. And pray for them.

Who is THE IRON LADY?

Love her or hate her, nobody can deny that on April 8th of 2013, one of history’s most influential people passed away. Margaret Thatcher, Britain’s former prime minister, died at the age of 87 years. Margaret Thatcher was the first and only woman in Britain to hold office. She was also the only Prime Minister to win three consecutive terms during the twentieth century. She served from 1979 up to 1990.

Margaret attended Oxford University and graduated in 1947 with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Thatcher

became a member in the parliament in 1959. She then became Secretary of State for Education and Science. In 1975 she became the leader of the Conservative party, the largest political party in Britain.

She became Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on the 4th of May, 1979. Thatcher has changed Britain inside out. She was one of the most important Prime ministers of Britain. She improved Britain’s economic state greatly.

Margaret Thatcher was named the “Iron Lady”

by the Soviet media. She was known to be very tough and accomplished a lot during her time in office. I think she deserves to be named the Iron Lady because she has created a legacy and challenged a man-only environment.

The reaction to her death in the US differs from the UK. In the US all the news media talked about her for days and obviously gave great respect to her. in England some people also felt like this, but in Ireland and Scotland many people hated her and held parties to celebrate her death.

Did you know that some games make you smarter?

Sometimes we feel bored and sometimes we feel the need to play and sometimes think about how to spend our time usefully and have fun at the same time?? Chess

Some studies have shown that playing chess helps a person to solve math problems and improve some skills. It strengthens the memory and activates it in different aspects of life not only in mathematics Some studies have also shown that playing chess improves critical thinking skills, logic and abstract thinking. Puzzle

Other studies have also shown that solving crossword and sentence

structure games raises a person's IQ and help prevent problems of aging, such as Alzheimer's disease. These puzzles remix our knowledge through trial and error. Charades

It is a game where a person uses body language rather than words and relies on guesswork and linking language references. It also relies on playing on a team with one person representing and the rest guessing, so it is good for sports exercises and for the mind and the brain Sudoku

Is a type of game that relies heavily on analytical ability and helps to strengthen our use of numbers.

In our culture, when we are young we play a lot of games that help us to think and guess like when we guess names for plants, animals and countries beginning with the same letter. Now, with the evolution of technology, we have moved away from teaching children these games that help develop intelligence and activate brain cells, and instead they rely on electronics that destroys brain cells and damage their social lives.

Do you ever think about

your child's drawings ?

Have you ever thought

about analyzing them ?

Let's try that . . .

Analyzing kids' drawing s

is very easy and very

important to discovering

and understanding their

personalities. Usually the

analysis is for children

from one year to 7 years.

First, give the kids a big

piece of paper and some

colors. Secondly, ask

them to draw their

mothers. Thirdly, we try

to ask them about the

drawings and their

mothers. For example,

"Where is her hand,

mouth, and her eyes?

Eventually, if the child has

a good and tender

mother, the drawing

will be in relaxing and

soft colors. But, if the

drawing is dark and

ugly, the child has a

nervous and strict

mother.

I had some experience

of this technique when

I studied for my

bachelor's degree.

Now, l have gotten

some examples from

the internet.

A mother, by Hjördis,

6 years.

When Hjördis made this drawing, she said, "This is my mother!"

I asked her how one can see that it is a mother, "Because she has lipstick and a skirt.”

This picture is by James. He is scared of his mother and he named this picture scary mummy.

Be careful! Babies don't forget anything. Also we should be a good example to them.

Strength Of Color

Which color has stolen your attention?

When we observe

the colors that

surround us, we

receive special

effects from each

color’s light wave.

For instance,

purple helps

people to calm

down, red warns

us to be more

cautious, and

green inspires us

to be quiet, and so

on.

From this point I

will begin to dive

deeply in color

science.

Since ancient

times, there has

been a science

called Feng Shui

that concentrates on

curing illnesses.

This science dates

from thousands of

years ago in China.

it is based on Tao

philosophy that

takes account of

space and colors and

associates different

colors with different

energy fields.

Actually, the

Pharaohs in Egypt

were the first who

started using colors

to cure diseases.

Moreover, this

Science is divided in

to several sections

containing five

colors, and

depending on the

many variations

within each basic

color, which, to

remind the reader,

are, red, yellow,

gray, blue, and

green.

We can see the

application of this

color philosophy in

modern things like

cosmetic companies

who use bright

colors in their

products to attract

customers.

In addition to that,

jewelry companies

tend to use soft

relaxing colors to

charm customers all

around the world.

First of all, the executive level of an organization must be aware of the importance of using technology and institute a Management Information System (MIS) department that manages knowledge and integrates all the organization’s departments. For instance, the MIS department has to integrated many functions in many

departments to support their output and make their input to other departments. For example, the information outputs of the marketing department become the information inputs for the production department so they can achieve an advanced product.

Second, the organizations have to plan and choose which kinds of intelligence they need because there are several types such as strategic intelligence, business intelligence and industrial intelligence.

Third, data should be mined from a data warehouse or data marts by the MIS department to create knowledge. This process is called analysis , and it obtains exclusive reports which help the executive and

middle level managers to make accurate and reliable decisions .Also, it evaluates managers’ performances and companies’ goals. Then, the organizations have to use the strategic supplies and BI applications to gain more information about customers, competitors, the competitive environment and their business partners. That means using BI to collect information from external and internal environments.

In the final step, the organizations need to emphasize analysis of the external environment and find accurate information about competitors and customers. Also, it needs to monopolize their information to create new knowledge and competitive advantages. Now, the organization has reached t CI.

Dates

This is the largest date farm in the world

Have you ever eaten dates before? Do you know that the dates have many benefits and they are very delicious? And where are most date trees found in Saudi Arabia? I will tell you some information about them and some of their benefits.

The dates in my country are very popular and there are many kinds of them, like the north dates are quite different from the south dates and also in the middle of Saudi Arabia. We usually eat the dates with Arabic coffee. The dates have many benefits to the human body and some of them are that they are considered as a treatment for anemia due to the high

percentage of iron they contain. Also they get rid of toxins, which helps in preventing liver diseases. They help in stimulating brain functions and help body growth and development of different body systems. Also we pollinate the date trees manually two times a year. Some farmers cover the dates in the tree to protect the dates from the birds because they eat them. Sometimes the birds sabotage the dates and then we can’t eat them or sell them. In fact, the dates are getting more expensive every season especially before Ramadan starts. And the price of the dates depends on their quality. There are more than 100 kinds of dates such as Sukkari, Barhi, Khalas, Ruthana, Ajwa,

Miskani and Safri. They are quite different from each other in color, looks and taste. In my opinion the best dates are called Sukkari because this kind is sweeter than other kinds of dates. The best date trees come from Al Qassim region because they have more than 1000 date farms and many factories for production of dates. The dates for all Muslims are so important because our prophet Mohammed recommended us to eat them. Lastly as you see the dates have many benefits and we have many kinds, so I hope you try them once. I’m really sure you will like them and here in America there are many place that sell good kinds of dates.

Who Is Hong Man Choi???

Let’s fight!!

Hong Man Choi There is a person who has a

great talent and huge body

in S. Korea. Korea has many

powerful people. However,

he is the top of the list

among powerful people. The

Korean wrestler with the

thigh band player is Hong

Man Choi and he is as tall as

a tree. He is 218 centimeters

tall (over 7 ft) and 160

kilograms (350 pounds).

When many people meet

him, they always are amazed

and frightened. If you want

to know why the people

react like that, I advise you

to meet him personally. It

would be funny! Even

though he looks frightening

and many people give him a

cold stare, he has a

thoughtful heart and happy

mind. On the other hand,

Hong Man has a big

problem. It’s that many girls

like to start an argument

with him. That is because

they know Hong Man can’t

hit them. That is why

eventually he has been to

the police station several

times. (Most men usually

never bother Hong Man.)

Anyway I’m is going to

explain his experiences

more.

His Life At first, he was a

Korean wrestler with a thigh

band player who had many

champion titles. But Korea

Amateur Wrestling

Association failed a long

time ago. So, he changed his

job to mixed martial arts

fighter (K-1). Even though he

had no fighting skill, he won

many powerful fights with

his natural power.

Whenever he wins any

games, he dances. He really

likes dancing so much. So,

Hong man stood out in the

ring and outside, and he

became a famous star in the

world. Nevertheless, he

suddenly suffered a brain

tumor. After surgery, he

recovered he’s health.

However, he has not

returned to fighting. We

can’t know about that yet..A

lot of broadcasting

companies want Hong Man

to work for them, because

he has lots of talents. He

loves to listen to music and

sing rap and dance. So, Hong

Man always makes all

nations happy. Then 2 years

ago, he opened a bar in

Seoul, Gangnam. There are

many guests that go to the

bar anytime. Hong Man has

been so happy recently.

Lastly, he said “I’m the same

as all people. I don’t want

people to give me a cold

stare any more. Please treat

me like a normal person.”

Long Neck Tourism in Thailand

A girl wears the brass neck coils One girl is dancing to Thai music. She has a long neck. She puts metal rings round her neck. She has a strange neck like a giraffe’s neck. After she finishes dancing, the tourists walk faster to take commemorative photos with her. The girl returns holding in her hand $50 after her day’s work with tourists in Thailand. This girl called Mail traveled from the Kayan tribe in Burma to Thailand to escape

the war. This tribe sees a long neck for women as a symbol of beauty. The women wear the brass neck coils from the age of five. Every year they add more coils to their necks. The tribe believes the brass neck coils protect the women from attack by wild animals. Also, they protect them from human trafficking. In addition, many of the girls, such as Mali, work in long neck tourism which attracts thousands

of visitors annually. This type of tourism

is opposed by human rights organizations. This phenomenon is called the human zoo. They warn traders from exploiting the women of the Kayan tribe.

Finally, I think the tourists are the ones who can end this phenomenon when they stop going to enjoy watching the human zoo. They must respect the humanity of these women.

DOWNTON ABBEY

Recently, I saw a teleplay that was very interesting to me. This is the most popular teleplay from England, a classical teleplay. The teleplay has had three seasons until now. They are still working on the new season.

In the first three seasons, the stories happen from 1912-1922. There are two classes of people who live in the Abbey of Downton, the upstairs and the downstairs. Although the Abbey’s outside looks peaceful and kind, the inside is totally different for everyone. Because in that time, the abbey and the land, could only be

inherited by a man, but the earl of Grantham . That means the oldest daughter, Mary, must get married to her father’s heir, a distant cousin. But she is angry with this rule, not only that she must get married, but also because the person who she had prepared to marry died in the sea with the Titanic. So that means they have to allow her father’s nephew, Matthew, to inherit the abbey.

No one is happy about this. The second daughter; Edith, is interested in money, so she decides to make a plan that Matthew will fall in love with her. But a few months later in Downton Abbey, Matthew

gradually realizes he is falling in love with Mary.

Then after the wars from1916 to 1918, Mary and her cousin, Matthew, meet each other again, and decide to get married. Moreover, because of the wars, many people in the Abbey have lost someone, not only upstairs, but also downstairs. In the Abbey, people can find someone who understands their problems.

In the third series, although Mary and Matthew have gotten married, there are the new challenges in Downton Abbey. We will see what happens next…

The Croods.

Every person has his own way to make reality less painful. Some of us may find it by reading our favorite book, others may find it when they go shopping or play PlayStation. At the end of every week, watching new movies always clears my mind, and makes every painful detail that has happened just go away. Recently, I watched an adventure and comedy movie that talks about how the cave family reacts when their cave has been destroyed. Eep, which is one of the characters in the movie, has her

own dreams. She wants to go out and see the world outside their cave, and she wonders about the light “the sun” and wants to catch it. In the blink of an eye, her dream comes true, and their cave is destroyed. When that happens, her father’s biggest fear becomes true, too. Because he has to find a new cave in a world he hasn’t been to, and to protect his family from the earth’s ending.

One more thing makes his fear bigger and bigger: This is the “guy” who fills his daughter’s mind with crazy ideas, such as shoes, fire and jokes. Eep

doesn’t understand that her father wants to protect her, and he doesn’t realize that she has found the only thing she didn’t expect to find. She had found Love. I won’t ruin the box office top movie for you, so just go and watch it.

Anyhow, just like every animation movie, we get advice at the end of it. And this movie says, never get busy or forget to tell someone that you love her/him, and just follow the light for a better “tomorrow”.

Tricks

Card Tricks ''Magic tricks are not only fun to watch but they are another way to entertain friends and family at a party or other social gathering''. Most people around the world like to watch tricks in everything. ''Though many magicians' tricks require expensive materials and many hours of practice, other tricks are quite simple''. If you want to do a trick you have to pay attention to several things. First, you have to be very fast. Second, you have to be smart to trick people. Third, you should talk with the person who you are tricking to make him or her think about another thing and to make sure their

minds are not on your hands because If he or she is attentive to your hands they might see how you tricked them. Fourth, do not do the same trick all the time because the person who you tricked might find out the secret of the game. Fifth, trust yourself. Most people who like to watch magic or cards tricks love to know how the player’s skills tricked them, but the player should never tell anyone about how they did the trick on them. Some people don't believe how a person tricked them because they think he used the demons to trick them, but that is not true because all the magic and cards tricks are games of skill.

Also, the games’ skills are taught in special schools. A skillful player takes a long time to become a professional, so it's not just anyone who can be a professional trick player easily. Some tricks can make people feel fear or anxiety, for example if the player uses sharp objects or fire to deceive people ,and this could be a danger to everyone because an unskillful player can sometimes make mistakes and this has occurred with some of them. In the end, all the tricks are interesting, and if you want to know more about tricks come to me and I will show youI http://www.ehow.com/magic-

MAKE YOUR OWN SKY FALL

These people jumped from the helicopter and now they are skiing down the mountain

Would you like

to live a James Bond

movie?!

There are many

kinds of dangerous

sports that are very

exciting and make us feel

like we are in an

adventure movie. Street

lugging, heli-skiing big

wave surfing, bull riding,

bull running,, motorcycle

racing, high altitude

climbing, base jumping

and cave diving are

some kinds

of dangerous sports.

Every kind of sport has a

different danger rate.

Some of them have a

high rate and some of

them less than the

others. Some people

think they should

stop these kinds of

sports because a lot of

people die like Frank

Wells, former president

of The Walt Disney Co.

He died in a helicopter

crash during a heli-skiing

trip in 1994.

Also this kind of

sport improves physical

fitness. My favorite

dangerous sport is

shooting. Last weekend

I went to the NRA

(National Rifle

Association) in Fairfax

where they have a

shooting range. I shot

with a rifle and some of

my shots hit the target. I

went with a group of

friends, one of whom is a

professional skeet

shooter. He shoots

special discs that are

shot into the air by a

machine.

I hope one day I

can play more exciting

sports such as heli-

skiing. Everyone should

take the opportunity to

do something exciting

and challenging if he has

the chance
