PLOTIn this short film a man is simply getting into an elevator. The lift he gets into has no people in at first, but then more and more people start getting in. he then looks up at the weight that is aloud and it says 2000. He starts to guess the weight of the people in the lift and adds it all up together realizing that its 1 pound over the limit. When the lift then stops again he sees someone who is defiantly over the limit and gets out. He gets into another lift and sees a bunch or normal size people so thinks this is ok. They all start coughing and sneezing all over him. They then get out and he sees the sign says swine flu treatment. This was a funny short film that made me laugh even though I'm sure it was a low budget film.

MISE-EN-SCÈNE: SETTING /LOCATION

This must have been set in a office or hotel or something with a nice setting and a working lift. There was not really any other scene apart from inside the lift. The only other parts of the set you could see would have been when the lift opens. On the wall it said floor 1, floor 2 and so on. But this was all you could really see.

MISE-EN-SCÈNE: ICONOGRAPHY AND PROPSNothing was very iconic about this film. It was all set In a lift with not much going on around it. The stress of being in a lift and having a lot of people in at one time could be relatable for an audience who frequently get into an elevator.

MISE-EN-SCÈNE: COLOUR AND LIGHTINGThe lighting is all the same. Quite a yellow tone. A type of light you might find in a office or a cheap hotel. I think having lots of light or bright colours might have made this too different or not realistic. Its meant to be set in a normal location.

MISE-EN-SCÈNE: MAKE UP AND COSTUME

The main actor Is a very normal guy. He doesn't have any specific makeup or clothing too make him too look any different to any normal person. This was posted 2010 so the clothes the people where wearing in the elevator where very old style but still looked normal.

EDITING: SOUND AND VISIONThere was constant music playing in the background. It was the sort of repetitive music you hear in lifts, sort of like jingles, playing background throughout the whole thing. It made it funny because bad things kept happening too the character in the movie but the music carried on which made it quite comical. The editing was clever because the camera seemed to stay in the same place the whole time. There where 5 and 6 person shots as they where all in the lift and the camera was looking at all of them. I think the editing will have been so the people walked into an actual lift but then they filmed In a small room they created to look like a lift because I don’t think the lift would have been big enough for 6 people to go in and the camera along with all the equipment. This looked really effective and real.

CINEMATOGRAPHYI think the editing was really good for this film because it did look lie all the actors where going into a lift even thought they could have all been going into one place because the lift wouldn’t have been big enough for 8 people and a camera man to fit in. so this worked rally well even though I'm sure they had a small budget. I also loved the sound as it was effective and made the film much more comical.

TITLES AND CREDITSThe title was very plane and had no font to it. Which worked quite well because after all the film was filmed in a lift and didn't have much action going on.
