What are the Divergent Channels?

The Divergent Channels are responsible for collecting a pathogenic factor and diverting it to the joints using fluid mediumship, in order to keep the organs pathology-free. In doing so they allow a set of diseases to occur, to prevent organ degeneration. For example, to protect the Liver from cirrhosis, they will deposit pathology in a way that causes arthritis instead.

This fascinating arena is complex but essential information for all acupuncturists interested in understanding the nature of disease.

It’s not uncommon to hear people say that acupuncture has not effectively helped them with serious chronic illnesses such as, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s, osteoarthritis, lupus, colitis, Raynaud’s, COPD, etc.

The Divergent Channels are exquisitely equipped to treat conditions of precisely this type.

In this seminar, Ann will teach and demonstrate how to understand the Divergent Channels and how to put them into practice.

Long-time advocate for the return of the use of the entire acupuncture system as described in the Nei Jing and long-time student of Dr Jeffrey Yuen, Ann practices the Divergent Channels fluently and profoundly and looks forward to sharing this knowledge with other practitioners.

What You Will Learn

The Divergent Channels are essential knowledge for acupuncturists interested in chronic degenerative diseases.

• Understand Diagnosic principles pertaining to Divergents.

• Gain confidence in understanding these complex channels.

• Understand the essential concept of latency: the act of hiding pathogens if they cannot be eradicated.

• Understand the concept of disease nemesis: the idea that the body will create one disease to avoid a more serious one.

• Become proficient in pulse diagnosis for the Divergents.

• Observe Divergent Needling techniques.

• Marvel at the power of Divergent treatments in the treatment of chronic degenerative diseases.

“Study these (Divergents) first and work it out to the finish. The inexperienced clinician will think they are

easy to understand, while the superior one knows their difficulty. The skilled pass right by them while they are the very breath of the superior physician. Please listen

to these words.” - Ling Shu, Chapter 11
