The Service Forum is buzzing with projects found by our wonderful VP Service, Kaitlin Douglass and her Service Committee. The Brothers have been competing in randomly selected groups to see who can have the most fun thanks to our VP Fellowship David Bautista and the Fellowship Com- mittee.. Our VP Membership Gurbani Chawla has already been spearheading events for Brothers, including a welcome-back potluck, and has an epic, epic Membership Retreat planned (LASER. TAG.) Frank Reed Horton wanted APO to continuously expand: “gradually in the colleges and uni- versities of all the nations.” In this spirit, our chapter has been serv- ing as the Big Brother chapter to Temple University, where the Zeta Iota chapter hopes to re- charter. We have sent two Pledge Educators, Mike Petkun and Rachel Ashton, to show them the ropes. We have high hopes that Zeta Iota will find success and flourish at Temple. As always, a major fundraiser is also being planned: this semester fundraiser chairs Muyi Li and Christian de Luna have some ideas about integrating the fundraiser into Penn’s “Year of Games.” But of course, the most important part of any semes- ter’s start is Rush. We are thrilled that Pledge Educators Dan Kim and Nini Lee have worked so hard to make this semester’s Rush a suc- cess. With 35 new Pledges, the Alpha Omicron class is excited and ready to learn, grow, bond, and, most of all, serve. Already the Fellow- ship Calendar is full of Pledge -hosted Fellowships, and many Pledges have already begun decorating their note- books and spending quality time with Brothers and each other. Thanks also to Big/ Little Coordinator Jason Lee for a well-run Rush Final Mixer and to Mike Rivera for designing Rush flyers that could only be described as HARDCORE. Nikila’s new website looks spiffy, Mifta is keep- ing us honest with SAC and CHAC, Steph’s min- utes are organized and color-coded for your con- venience, Jen is running an apparel contest (DON’T FORGET TO SUBMIT DESIGNS!!) Charley is excited to take your hard- earned cash, and my chap- ter history is up and online! And last but not least, our fearless leader Omar Khan has been pushing us all to deliver the best pro- gram possible. What a great start APO has
had this semester! The new
Pledges, the Brothers, and the
exec board have been firing on all
cylinders to make the last month
the best it could possibly be. The
Service Forum is buzzing with
projects found by our wonderful
VP Service, Kaitlin Douglass and
her Service Committee. The
Brothers have been competing in
randomly selected groups to see
who can have the most fun thanks
to our VP Fellowship David
Bautista and the Fellowship Com-
mittee.. Our VP Membership
Gurbani Chawla has already been
spearheading events for Brothers,
including a welcome-back potluck,
and has an epic, epic Membership
Retreat planned (LASER. TAG.)
Frank Reed Horton wanted
APO to continuously expand:
“gradually in the colleges and uni-
versities of all the nations.” In this
spirit, our chapter has been serv-
ing as the Big Brother chapter to
Temple University, where the
Zeta Iota chapter hopes to re-
charter. We have sent two
Pledge Educators, Mike Petkun
and Rachel Ashton, to show them
the ropes. We have high hopes
that Zeta Iota will find success and
flourish at Temple.
As always, a major fundraiser is
also being planned: this semester
fundraiser chairs Muyi Li and
Christian de Luna have some
ideas about integrating the
fundraiser into Penn’s “Year
of Games.”
But of course, the most
important part of any semes-
ter’s start is Rush. We are
thrilled that Pledge Educators
Dan Kim and Nini Lee have
worked so hard to make this
semester’s Rush a suc-
cess. With 35 new Pledges,
the Alpha Omicron class is
excited and ready to learn,
grow, bond, and, most of all,
serve. Already the Fellow-
ship Calendar is full of Pledge
-hosted Fellowships, and
many Pledges have already
begun decorating their note-
books and spending quality
time with Brothers and each
other. Thanks also to Big/
Little Coordinator Jason Lee
for a well-run Rush Final
Mixer and to Mike Rivera for
designing Rush flyers that
could only be described as
HARDCORE.
Nikila’s new website
looks spiffy, Mifta is keep-
ing us honest with SAC
and CHAC, Steph’s min-
utes are organized and
color-coded for your con-
venience, Jen is running an
apparel contest (DON’T

DESIGNS!!) Charley is
excited to take your hard-
earned cash, and my chap-
ter history is up and
online!
And last but not least,
our fearless leader Omar
Khan has been pushing us
all to deliver the best pro-
gram possible.
