On this evening we will hear from our past Eta State NC President, Shelia Groves and be introduced to our Alice Armfield Grant-In-Aid recipient from High Point University. We’ll welcome five new Chi sisters and install our officers for the new Biennium. We continue to remember our New Year's Resolutions: 1. Take better care of myself; by enjoying time in nature, walking, talking and laughing daily 2. Learn something new; by taking part in a variety of Convention sessions and by participating in the summer Leadership Seminar 3. Share with others; by taking part in the Convention project through monetary donations for Region VI students, teachers, and families still feeling the effects of Hurricane Matthew. Make checks and money orders payable to United Way of Roberson County. Give your donations to me by Wednesday, April 25, to be taken to convention. Spring sweet glorious Spring! Up Coming Dates: *April 1 Early bird registration deadline for Eta State Convention April 27-29, Charlotte. Registration increases $10 after April 1. If you can't go for the entire convention think about going for just Saturday. One day registration is only $20 by April 1. Go with another “Chi sister”. Register at www.ncdkg@org 2018 State Convention Registration. *May 1 deadline for Lucile Cornetet Individual Professional Development Awards Working Chapter members who need financial assistance to participate in professional development opportunities not sponsored by DKG should consider applying for a Lucile Cornetet Individual Award for Professional Development. The Award is granted to educators to participate in professional seminars, workshops, lecture series, national board certification (initial certification only), on-line courses, and other non-degree programs. For more details and to apply, visit www.dkgef.org and click on the “Apply” tab. *June 22 Summer Leaders' Training (Time and Location in Greensboro TBD) for new chapter officers. GREETINGS CHI SISTERS,
