The meetings actually took over two days (4 th and 5 th ). “Directors may serve from 1 to 4 years and first members of this first Board of Directors elected under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act has staggered terms of office in order that not more than 1/3 of Directors may be replaced or re-elected in any year. Directors may serve a maximum of 8 consecutive years”. Here are the new positions: National Master, Capt. Rick Gates, Maritimes Division; Deputy Master, Capt. Christopher Hearn, NL Division; Assistant Master, Capt. Chris Hall, Fundy Division; Past Master, Capt. John McCann, Fundy Division; Treasurer, Capt. Jack Gallagher, Maritimes Division; Secretary, Capt. Ivan Lantz, Montreal Division. Also we have the following positions: Editor, FROM THE BRIDGE, Capt. David Whitaker; Membership Chair, Capt. Yezdee Kooka; Views and Positions Committee Chair, Capt. Peter Turner; Company of Master Mariners Foundation Chair, Capt. (Dr.) Jim Parsons; Captain G. O. Baugh Memorial Fund TRUSTEE, Capt. Doug Wilson. At the meeting financial contributions were made by the NL Division to the National and the CMMC Foundation. Capt. Chris Hearn, NL Divisional Master presented a cheque ($1,000.00) to the National. He also presented a cheque ($4,000.00) to the CMMC Foundation. L-R: Capt.
