Today the power of social media has been used in both posi6ve and nega>ve ways.

The internet is a place where people can gain social confidence and voice their opinions.
What would you do if your voice was taken from you or ridiculed?
Over half of adolescents and teens have been bullied online
..and about the same number have engaged in cyber bullying.
The effects of cyber bullying can have las>ng harm on adolescents.
online abuse can lead to anxiety, depression, and even suicide.
The things we post online may remain permanently on the web.
One mistake can result in damaged reputa6on and self esteem.
These mistakes can result in guilt and isola6on.
Once things are circulated on the Internet, they may resurface at later 6mes.
Be careful what you post online.
Children may not know what they should and shouldn’t share with
