Core Feature The apps core feature is the ability to

control appliances in your home while you are away from home

For example being at work and needing to turn off the iron because you left it on by mistake. This provides peace of mind as well as being a handy safety feature.

Competitors tend to focus on heating whereas we are both heating and appliances

Feasibility There will be an installation charge as with all

other apps of this type but we are more reasonable than our main competitors thus giving us an advantage.

Getting help from people with previous experience in creating these apps will be very advantegeous.

The technology already exists and is increasing in popularity with energy providers. If we could stir up some interest it would make getting the app up and running a lot more feasible.

Business model Our plan is to find an energy provider

who would be keen to get involved with the creation of our app.

We can come to an arrangement with the provider which will alleviate the costs of advertising from ourselves leaving us to focus on the development side of things.

We will take a percentage of all sales of the application.

Marketing Strategy Our most influential source of marketing

will be television as not everyone reads papers or magazines but most households own a television.

Secondary will be magazines and newspapers. Home magazines and technology will probably be the way to go as these are probably the most likely to attract customers.
