This is a coffee shop I designed in my 7th semester. It was drawn in Revit 2009 and edited in Windows Movie Maker.

2. PROGRAM
The Manhattan Marketplace is looking to add an enjoyable place to
go and hang out. This takes form in the shape of a coffee shop;
coffee shops are excellent places to meet with friends and talk.
The Manhattan Marketplace Coffee Shop would need to attract a wide
variety of customers, from college students to seniors. Its
location is situated in a strip mall between Petco and Bed, Bath,
and Beyond, in the corner section. This allows for us of three
extra windows for some excellent views and a chance to have outdoor
seating. The overall design of the exterior space needs to remain
its current design to keep a sense of unity with the rest of the
buildings.
3. CONCEPT
Started with the history of coffee houses, and discovered that they
all had an element in common; a linear table. This is where people
would gather to socialize and catch up on gossip. Keeping with that
same linear idea I looked at the shape of the space and noticed it
was very linear. The coffee shop itself becomes that linear element
where people meet to socialize and gossip.
