We have designed a bed that aims to enhance the child’s creativity.By letting the child pick, choose, assemble and set up his own bed.

The child will be able to create his/hers own color scheme, organize working space area and place the creative sticks as he chooses.

How to Use the bed

By creating an opening in the bed frame the child can store the desktop, but still be able to visually see it, this will enhance the child’s use of the desktop. The headboard is hollow inside and the sticks are made of PVC and Polyurethane foam. These materials has been carefully chosen to minimize the weight of the headboard. By using these “lighter” materials the child should be able to move the board around in the frame. -The frame is made with an inclined strip of space for secure placement of the headboard. All of this will make the child use his imagination: To create his workspace, headboard and arrangement of headboard sticks. On top of this the child has the opportunity to assemble and create his own bed by applying the sticks on the headboard himself and choose his preferable color scheme.

COLOR SCHEME

When Creating:The idea of the color scheme is to give the child the possibility to use his creativity by letting him choose the color of the:• Lid• Stick• Desktop

When purchasing: All the items, mentioned above, are sold separately so that the child can mix the different colors and create his own unique bed.- The mattress, bed frame and headboard, comes in one fixed color scheme, that compliments all the different colors in the color scheme.

When choosing:To the right you see the color scheme illustrated. The oval shape is the mechanism lock. The round shape is the lid. The oval structure comes in four different choices all made with two different colors to create a stronger visual effect.

MECHANISM

Screwing mechanism for stick and lid. The concept is for the kids to choose the color of the lids by just unscrewing it and screw it on with another color.

Locking mechanism for PVC stick on plexiglass head board.

The concept is to be able to change the length of the stick to place the desktop on top of the sticks or to create shelves etc.

Direction:By turning the stick so that the oval structure will be in a horizontal position it will stay stuck in the plexiglass headboard and therefore create a locking system. To release the locking mechanism you simply turn the stick until the oval shapes are in a vertical position.
