STUDY OF SITE LAYOUT

Introduction

Marvel Brisa is being developed by ‘MARVEL REALTORS’.

Marvel Brisa consists of G+21 storey twin towers, two level basement

parking along with penthouses. The two towers have a distance of 40m

between them.

Total of 100 luxurious homes include 2, 3 and 3.5BHK apartments

along with duplex penthouses.

Present Status of Project:

Slab of 12th floor of Building ‘A’ is under construction.

Slab of 10th floor of Building ‘B’ is under construction.

The project is ahead by a month as per schedule.

Project Started in: September 2013

Estimated Date of Completion: January 2016.

SECURITY

The entire site is barricaded.

Anything or anyone entering the site is looked upon and a record is maintained.

There is only one entry and exit gate.

SITE OFFICE

The Site office is located near the entrance gate at about 30m. It allows visibility to the building

‘B’ and the internal access road.

WEIGH BRIDGE

A weigh bridge is located just near the entrance so as to weigh trucks at the time of entry and at

exit. A control room is situated just besides the setup.

The capacity is 50ton.

STEEL YARD

Steel was stored on ground and was chained with lock.

A steel bar cutting and bending setup was located just beside the steel stored.

LABOUR CAMP

It is situated inside the site on the left side, along the barricaded length and close to both the

buildings under construction and some accommodation is provided inside the constructed

building ‘A’ on the first and second floor. The floor of the cabins in labour camp were concreted.

A canteen was located in the labour camp for their basic needs.

STORES:

Cement is stored in a dry area with a plastic sheet laid beneath.

Aggregate is dumped near the mini batching plant.

Cement is stored and used on First In First Out basis

.

MINI BATCHING PLANT:

It is located at a corner in such a way that cement and aggregate are easily accessible.

It has a control room situated beside it. A provision was made to facilitate the concrete into the

transit mixer. The transit mixer takes the concrete to the required area.

TOWER CRANE:

It is located close to building ‘A’ such that it is supported and serves both the buildings ‘A’ and

‘B’. The capacity of the tower crane is 6 tons and any lateral support is not required upto a

height of 30m.

QUALITY CONTROL LAB:

There is a Quality Control lab setup at the basement of building ‘A’. Concrete samples were taken

for every 50m3 of concrete and 6 cubes are casted. These casted cubes are left for curing in the

curing tanks.

POWER SUPPLY:

There is a room for generators located to the extreme corner at the back side of the site.

SANITARY FACILITY:

Sanitary for labour is provided on site in separate enclosures. Pest control is done twice a

month.

SAFETY:

Safety measures are given utmost importance. Every visitor is given a safety helmet. Labourers

are provided with all the required safety wears including helmet, jacket, shoes, etc.

Safety nets are provided accordingly on the higher floors and barricades were setup as

parapets. ‘SAFETY FIRST’ was displayed everywhere on site.

First Aid kit is provided in the site office to cater the needs for various injuries. Any major

accident is taken care by a nearby hospital, to which a tie-up has been made.

ACCESS ROADS:

The access roads are not laid but a provision for the movement of vehicles is made i.e. there is

a straight muddy way for the trucks to enter the site towards the aggregate and cement storing

area.
