    Rububiyah

    Unity of

    Lordship

    Allah alone is

    the Rabb (the

    Creator,

    Provider,

    Sustainer, etc.)

    He has no

    partner in His

    Dominion and

    Actions

    He alone has

    the power to

    benefit or

    harm, the

    power to

    change destiny

    He alone is

    truly Self-

    Sufficient (As-

    Samad) upon

    whom all the

    creation

    depends

    All creatures

    are created by

    polytheism

worship of anyone or anything other than the singular God

the establishment of "partners" placed beside God.

    sharing or partnerships

an unforgivable crime the biggest sin

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

    14/43

Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He

forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who

associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a

    tremendous sin.

    disbeliever

    covering and concealing something

not believing in Allah and His Messenger

who rejects something that Allah has commanded us to believe in

whether he rejects it in his heart without uttering it

he speaks those words of rejection without believing it in his heart

he does an action which is described in the texts as putting one beyond the pale of faith

    apostate from Islam

    the most serious and

    most common

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

    21/43

Verily, Allah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners (in worship) with

Him, but He forgives whom He wills, sins other than that, and whoever sets

up partners in worship with Allah, has indeed strayed far away

    [An-Nisa 4:116]

Shirk or associating others in worship with Allah.

That includes praying to the dead, seeking

their help, making vows and offering sacrifices

to them or to the jinn or to the grave.

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

    22/43

Sets up intermediaries between himself and Allah, asks them to

intercede, and puts his trust in them

Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion. And those who take

protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may

bring us nearer to Allah in position." Indeed, Allah will judge betweenthem concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not

guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever.

    [Az Zumar 39:3]

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

    23/43

Does not regard the mushrikeen as kaafirs, or doubts that they are

kaafirs, or regards their way as correct

Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were

given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to

them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever

disbelieves in the verses of Allah , then indeed,

Allah is swift in [taking] account.

    [Ali Imran 3:19]

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

Believes that anything other than the teaching of the Prophet is more

complete than his teachings, or that the rulings of anyone else are

better than his rulings such as those who prefer the rule of false laws

    to his rulings

Then is it the judgement of [the time of] ignorance they desire?

But who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who are certain

    [in faith].

    [Ali Imran 3:19]

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

    25/43

Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The

prophets who submitted [to Allah ] judged by it for the Jews, as did the

rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the

Scripture of Allah , and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the

people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price.

And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is

    those who are the disbelievers.

and Islamic laws); so He has made their deeds fruitless

    [Muhammad 47:9]

    accordance with it

And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and

playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that youwere mocking?"

Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon

one faction of you - We will punish another faction because they were

    criminals.

    [At-Tawbah 9:65-66]

Make fun of anything in the religion of the Prophet or makes fun of any

texts that refer to rewards or punishments

Sahr (witchcraft) including spells to turn one person against another

or to make someone love another. Whoever does this or approves of it

    is a kaafir.

And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reignof Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils

disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the

two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach

anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing

magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause

separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyonethrough it except by permission of Allah . And the people learn what

harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel

certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the

Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves,

    if they only knew.

    [Al-Baqarah 2:102]

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

    33/43

O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as allies(protectors, helpers), they are but allies of each other. And if any

amongst you takes them (as allies), then surely, he is one of them.

Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the Zaalimoon

    (polytheists and wrongdoers and unjust)

    [Al-Maa'idah 5:51]

Supporting the mushrikeen and helping them against the Muslims.

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

    34/43

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted

of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.

    [Ali-Imraan 3:85]

Whoever believes that some people are allowed to operate outside the

law of Muhammad, is a kaafir.

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

And who does more wrong than he who is reminded of the Ayaat

(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of his Lord,

then turns aside therefrom? Verily, We shall exact retribution from the

    Mujrimoon (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners).

    [As-Sajdah 32:22]

Turning away from the religion of Allah, not learning it and not acting in

    accordance with it.

    No guidance in life

That is because they believed, and then they disbelieved; so theirhearts were sealed over, and they do not understand.

    [ Al-Munafiqun 63:3 ]

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

    38/43

The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is [that] their

deeds are like ashes which the wind blows forcefully on a stormy

day; they are unable [to keep] from what they earned a [single]

thing. That is what is extreme error.

    [ Ibrahim 14:18 ]

    All good deeds are rejected

  • 7/29/2019 The Concept of Tawheed

And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger and transgresses

and he will have a humiliating punishment.
