The Circle received mixed review because it was considered to be too relevant of the power of corporations and the rise of technology in todays world.

Page 6: THE CIRCLE.pptx

The Circle focuses on issues faced in modern day times. Though set sometime in the future. It questions Dave Eggers fears of the power of technology. Eggers based his insight on the rise of the internet and social media. Dave Eggers struggled while writing this book because he tried to come up with new technology that hasn’t been invented yet. He also tried not to base the book on the social giants of today.

The Circle will make you question whether privacy is theft or not. And if being watched all the times benefit the human race.

THE CIRCLE

CONTROL

Fahrenheit 451

But in The Circle, its all about Exposure. There is No privacy and if you want privacy then you must be hiding something. There are no secrets. The Circle becomes somewhat God like as it sees and must know everything.

The Circle The dystopian of both is a controlled society which limits the human race. It limits our ideas and how humans should perform and think.

In The film Fahrenheit 451. We see that reading was against the law because it made humans too emotional and opinionated. By removing books the human race was limited of power, knowledge and of choices.
