Weekly Offerings

We thank you again for making that extra effort to either mail or bring in your offering each week. This week we collected $15,857. Much work is still being done by the church in our efforts to teach and minister to the needs of our members and the community. Your money is still needed. Your giving is a part of your worship, and we ap-preciate you keeping it a priority. It was great to see you last Sunday for worship service. There were 305 in attendance. We hope to see you and others this week!

Information About Worship Services

• We are having our worship services at 9:00am on Sunday mornings, Sunday night services at 5:00pm, and a Prayer Service on Wednesdays at 7:00pm. We are currently not having Bible classes. Worship ser-vices and Bible classes will continue to be live streamed for those who are still unable to attend. Simply go to YouTube and search Sycamore Church of Christ at 9:00am on Sunday mornings or go to our website sycamorecoc.com.

• For those who are unable to attend services, Lord’s Supper cups/bread can still be picked up at the church office foyer during normal office hours. The exterior doors will be open.

• On Wednesday nights the devotionals online will continue. Several men will be teaching an adult Bible class as well. You can receive this any-time after 6:00pm on Wednesdays.

• If you have any physical, emotional, or spiritual needs, or just need pray-er, please call one of the elders on the list on the front of the bulletin.

• We now have online giving. Simply go to our website and click on the icon as pictured here. You may also mail your checks for the offering to the church office or drop them off at the office. Office hours are 8:00am-4:00pm.

Online Directory

We now have 252 families in our online directory. Did you know that you can upload a new photo and submit family information changes via the app? Members who provide an email address have full access to the app and website. If you see a member listed without their email, try to get that to Ryan Mattson, and he can get them fully functional.

Secret Sister Reveal Party

The Secret Sister Reveal Party is scheduled for Sept 13, in the Teen Center beginning at 3:00pm. If you have any questions please see or contact Jackie Perry.

Meals

Anita Jennings will have wrist surgery on the 9th. If you would like to take her a meal following her surgery, please contact Mary Alice Thomas.

Wedding Gift Card

Money is being collected for a wedding gift card for Nichole Thomas and Hunter Jones. If you would like to give toward this card, please see Rose Roberson or Te-resa Pruett before September 13th, or mail to the church office.

Upcoming Wedding Gift Card

We would like to celebrate the upcoming wedding of Donavan Brittingham and Erica Smith by showering them with a gift card. Donations may be given to Robin James or Brittany Allison by Sunday, September 20th. Money may also be left in the office, but please make sure to indicate who it is for.

Polishing the Pulpit Media Library

Sycamore has purchased an online resource that is ac-cessible to the whole congregation. Go to watch.polishingthepulpit.com and you can view dozens of lessons from the most renown speakers in the brotherhood. Many of these are taken from past years of this annual lectureship in Pigeon Forge. It is a tre-mendous resource that is available to all our members. Please take advantage of these lessons that can teach great biblical principles and challenge your faith.

Thank You Cards

“Dear Church Family, Thanks for all the pretty cards I get from so many of you nice ladies. I miss church so much. Hopefully we can all be back together soon. I watch our services every Sunday. My health is good and my daughters take me to the doctor, do my shop-ping and take me where ever I need to go. I love all of you.” In Christian love, Glendora Casteel. “Sycamore Family, Thank you so much for your overly generous wedding gift. Madelyn and I truly miss you all and our time at Tennessee Tech would not have been as special without you or the SOC. We love you all and hope to visit back frequently and often!” With Christian love, Blake & Madelyn Fulton “Dear Sycamore, Thank you for all the cards, visits, calls and especially your prayers during my recent sur-gery and recovery.” Love you, Connie Vaughn

Daily Bible Readers Club

We still have 92 of our members who are reading through the Bible in 2020! You are to be commended! If you are still reading and on pace, great job! If you are behind, don’t get discouraged! If you have not tak-en this challenge, it’s not too late to begin reading the Bible every day. “Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You,” Ps. 119:11. God’s Word will no doubt enhance your relationship with God and keep you from sin and trouble in your life. Give it a try and see the changes!

Audio Visual Volunteers Needed

We need help running the new sound and video sys-tem for worship services. At every service we will need one person running the projector, one person running the sound system, and probably another person starting and ending the live stream. Please let Kevin Rush know if you would be willing to help with this!

Mowing & Landscaping

We need several men to be on the landscaping list for the building. Ideally every week, 3 or more men would oversee the landscaping; which will include mowing, trim-ming, blowing off sidewalks and the parking lots and litter removal. At this time, this job may not require three men, but as the building process nears completion, 3 would be a good number. Weather permitting, we would like to see this done on Fridays or Saturdays. Please sign up on the attached link or see Kevin Rush if you have any ques-tions. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Sk8RkLQUylYB0L5rG2bvUTFoniQuQAffcbccWXoXVYM/edit?usp=sharing
